"Fair to expect a fair amount of Oilers fans in the building?"

Don't get your hopes up for that. There will certainly be a couple jerseys here and there, but the building will be OVERWHELMING Jets jerseys. MTSC ain't "Oil Country"; it's Jets country and people will be rocking they WINNIPEG gear and hopefully booing EDMONTON profusely, just like the good old days

GO JETS GO!!!

BTW where is the GDT on your board for this game?

Really too bad we won't see Khabby tonight. He deserved a great tribute. No Jet was more popular in 96 when they left than the man who made 51 saves in Detroit to buy us one more game at home. A proper send off so we could forget the glass mustard jar incident from the end of game 4. If you recall Detroit played Osgood in all of their home games and Vernon for the road games. Even then goalies were scared to play here.

Since today's theme is retro, here is some vintage Ted Nugent to kill a few minutes...

Off to an early dinner & the game. Have fun.

Coincidentally, Mike Stapleton played for the Thrashers in their inaugural season.

Yup, they are REALLY pumped to play us today
I think most Oiler fans would be happy if the Jets make the playoffs as it would be a Canadian team that we can feel good about cheering for.

Hoping you win a high scoring affair in OT.

It's too bad Khabibulin isn't suiting up tonight. That would have been awesome.

I guess we'll have to settle for Cam Barker...who I had no idea was even from Winnipeg until today

The Jets better step up tonight. We need the 2 pts and this year they have a bad habit of choking to the crappy teams. Cough Islanders Cough Cough!

The 9-4 game in '95 contained something you'll never see again - a defensive defenseman scoring 2 goals in FOUR seconds. Deron Quint!

You are my hero! I have looked EVERYWHERE for this video and could never find it, looks like it was uploaded recently. Anyway, major props to you!

Pause the video at 1:39, and you'll see an enthusiastic 11 year old dude in a hockey uniform, banging on the glass. C'est moi.

Been looking forward to this game all year. My very first Jets game was against the Oilers in 1973. Strange as it may sound, but for me playing Edmonton really makes it seem like we are really are back in the NHL.

Oilers are gonna get a thumping tonight.
