Three assists on four goals for the Sedins. That's got to make Van fans a little happy, no?

Hodgson still having 0 points is holding them over as well.

CGY gets yet another team playing back to back games tonight, doubt they will use that to their advantage though.

The best is when they are comfortably in 3rd last place they will start to win and take themselves out of the lottery.

Updated standings and odds.

TeamPointsGames Left%playoffs
Phoenix811168.9
San Jose781357.0
Calgary781240.3
LA781238.7
Colorado801020.9

These next two days are critical for the Flames. Going into Saturday they could be anywhere between 10% to 70% odds of making it. Two losses tonight and tomorrow would crush them.

Go Phoenix! If you can beat Vancouver you sure as hell can beat Calgary.

Wow not much separating lottery teams.

Edmonton and Columbus are locks. Then there are 3 teams in the east with 67 points and then another 2 with 68. Crazy how one point right now is the difference between 3rd last and 7th last. Also crazier that since Carolina hasn't won a game in OT or the shootout that is the difference currently for them sitting 5th last instead of 3rd last.

Odds on hearing the following from Leaf fans;

"If Kulemin didn't break his finger we would've made the playoffs"

How about the odds of this:

"If Grabovski played like a $5.5 million a year player we would have made the playoffs."

Any which way you slice it they will have some sort of excuse and it will have nothing to do with the actual reason.

Oh I thought mine was pretty obvious. No Leafs fan is going to say that because Burke is god. When the signing was first announced their whole board was like it better be in the 4-4.5 range anything more is too much. Then when the numbers came out they all quickly defended Burke and thought it was a great contract, lol.

So that definitely won't be an excuse. It is pretty bad having two guys in the top 10 and they are closer to the lottery than they are to the playoffs.

I like it. Burke is worse than ST in my books. Burke will sit there on April 10th or so and talk about how once again they didn't meet expectations, but they will be going hard this summer at improving their team and will be a playoff team next year.

Yes, because that's the goal. If that's the ****ing goal then you need a better option than James Reimer and your ******* number 1 goalie.

I'm actually looking forward to an Oiler game tomorrow. I hope the Oilers can actually play spoilers for once in their lifetime of suck here.

I remember when we were always an 8th seed bubble team, Calgary always seemed to put the nail in our coffin. Let's finally return the ****ing favor and run those clowns over!!!

wow, Colorado is winning with smoke and mirrors lately...score with 2 seconds to go and win it in a shoot-out

don't like their chances of making it but how depressing is it to see them and Florida in a playoff position at the moment...both picked top 3 last year

I'm looking forward to it because it usually results in 12+ beverages.

Damn, I will probably be in that situation since it's a Friday night and I'm bottling beer. Just goes hand in hand.

Don't worry. It will be another 6-1 shellacking.

It's funny, Tencer just tweeted the practice lines and it seems Renny wasn't impressed with Omark's "nose for the net", because Harti looks to be taking his spot for tomorrow's game.

So Omark comes out? Or does he go back to the 2nd line and Jones goes down to the 4th for Hordi/Petrell?

With the way Calgary has been playing lately and the fact that we play then on the 2nd of b2b, it's the recipe for us to get murdered, but stay tuned indeed.

Beauty, glad to see they called up Harti to replace their other call up and not Eager.

Also glad that we are going to dress Hordi again to see him play 2 or 3 shifts. I still don't understand the reason he was bag skated yesterday and then dressed for the game to have one shift in the 1st period.

Tom you're a winner!!

I have no issue with Hordi being dressed for the BOA.
