Didn't you see how they came out of the gates Joe. That deserved something. Kessel and Lupul are league leaders.

Seems pretty stupid now, although it was pretty stupid to extend him anyway.

I know has made comments about Penner trying to get adjusted to married life as being a contributing factor to his bad numbers.

I would take Penner back but I don't think management sees it that way. I don't think they want anybody who has self-motivation problems like Penner. I even think they might pass on Grigorenko (if he's on the board) for that reason if what they say about him is true.

Leafs lose 5-4 in regulation after blowing a 3-1 lead. Must be still distracted by that trade deadline.

LOL @ toronto. Burke giving Wilson a 2 year extension was laughable.

Not going to lie he has made multiple great moves for that club. Then at the same time he has made several crappy ones too.

Made me laugh on deadline day when he said he had several serious offers for James Reimer but he believes he is the real deal so he's not moving him. Come on Burke last year was a flash in a pan on a team who was playing without any expectations and thus the reason he played so well, wake up and move the guy he's useless.

I don't know what it is, but Healy on 1260 I can respect. Anywhere else I want to punch him in the face.

I just want to see Bill Waters rip the leafs now. He rips them when there is no reason., now that there is one it should be quite funny.

Anyone else excited by the prospect of a Nashville vs. St. Louis 7 game playoff series?

Hopefully it would be round 1 or 2 when there is lots of hockey. Not Conference finals when there is one game a day.

Certainly not. any combination of St. Louis, Phoenix and Nashville will make for a lame playoff series.

I'd like to see a STL VAN series. That, in my opinion, would be exciting as ****.

Yeah I remember two years ago when Vancouver rolled St. Louis in 4 games and the radio stations in Vancouver were asking callers to call in with their Stanley Cup parade routes. Be some sweet revenge for that franchise to turf a team that many think are a shoe in for the cup this year.

How long is the leash on Burke? I mean sure he's done more than other Gm's in the same amount of time, but he's been talking about how the Leafs are a playoff team pretty much from the start.

As long as everyone considers him a god there he will stay.

Most TO fans they they have a great forward group, some great d-men and outstanding goaltending.

Until the goggles come off I don't foresee anything happening.

I don't find any playoff hockey boring, no matter who is playing. The combination of tight checking and crazy atmosphere kills any kind 'boring' tendencies from the regular season for myself..

playoff hockey is way too good to be boring even it's a 1-0 defensive game. but hey, that's just me. haha.

My god, Montreal's about to win a game. For a while I thought they might not win again this year...

Too bad the Isles and Canes lost.

aaaaaaaaand Minny ties it with 10 seconds to go. They're most definitely going to get a point, but the win is far from assured.

Wow... I can't believe Montreal blew a 4-1 lead. They are serious about Grigorenko.
