I'm so happy for both Richards and Carter being reunited.

I bet they want to prove to the hockey world that the Flyers made a big mistake in getting rid of both of them.

I got a good feeling. Carter with 2g, Richards with 1g and Stoll of all people adds an empty netter. Kings win 4-2. Hells yah.

I sure looks good on paper.

If we can just average around 2.5 GPG from here on out, I think we'll be alright.

Sure he will, in about 5 more games when Quick keels over dead.

Just a sneaky way for DL to make sure that the goalie HE drafted really does end up the goalie of the future

Bernier should definitely start against the Wild. Good opponent to get him in there against.

This game though, Quick has to start. No other option.

I see that Doughty's ass may be benched when the first PP unit is on the ice.

Sutter is starting to hold them ALL accountable.

Quote:
SUTTER: “When you’re a low-scoring team — and this is dead-on true — and you pretty much always stick to the same guys on the power play, it becomes a little bit like they’re getting their power-play time irregardless of how they do. The two goals we scored the other night weren’t from the traditional guys on it. It’s moving Brownie down to another unit, and then moving other guys. I think Voynov is going to put some pressure on Doughty in those situations. We’ve been experimenting with Mike (Richards) on the point. We’ll continue to do that, because he’s been successful in the past at it. Hopefully it gives us some different looks. It’s just like asking, after that game in Phoenix, what was wrong with our penalty killing. Well, they weren’t traditional goals that they scored. They were coverage goals. Every game, it’s just those little things that are so fine now."

Man, this should be JB's game, as he's really good against the Preds. He must be a little disappointed he's still on the team and not getting any starts.

Dallas still would have the ROW (Regulation/Overtime Wins) tiebreaker quite comfortably.

I didn't get this calculated in the PGT from the last game, but going into this one:

92 points would be needed to push Dallas out of the 8th place spot. That's 24 more than the Kings currently have, so they need to go 12-8 (.600 hockey) in the final 20 games just to make the playoffs. They'd need 98 to overtake Phoenix for the Pacific title -- that would be a record of 15-5 (.750 hockey).

Current pace has them finishing one point behind Dallas and in 9th place.

The SPP (13-8-8) is .586, which would net them 91 points... and losing the ROW tiebreaker to Dallas and missing the playoffs.

Was it Nashvile that Bernier recorded his first shutout against?

I like these new Preds jerseys. Glad someone finally got out of the blue-vs-red trend.
