We will see about that genius watch nashville resign him and be a perennial 50 points scorer while ye get greg pateryn and cry about this trade in about 2-3 years.
It's a freakin horrible deal the management drops the ball yet again.
I'm starting to think that the only guy that knows something about hockey in there is Timmins other are just Clowns.
2013 draft lol whoopsie tout dli doo.
And? You, and others, continue to whine about this when the reality was Kostitsyn was never going to reach his potential in Montreal. We waited half a decade and it just wasn't happening. The return was "status quo" for a player who hasn't scored in twelve games and is a UFA.
Why did they trade a player like AK46 when his value was at it's lowest???
Do they not think????
Because, it's still value.
No more AK next year and for the rest of the season. AK was worth a 1st until about 20 games ago when he started floating eveng more than usual. Sadly, a second is all he's worth now. If you wait too long to trade him today, you run the risk of Nashville trading for someone else. Value isn't much, but as I said, it is value.
I can understand a rebuild but end of the day, overpaid and useless vets in kaberle and gomez will still be here. Why is AK the problem?
Agreed about Kaberle and Gomez but they can't be traded no one is dumb enough to put these stiffs on their team. I pray there is an amnesty buyout this off season and we can shed that dead wood Gomez. Send Kaberle to the minors and get this team back on track.
wow **** people are overreacting. he wasn't going to be resigned. he has 0 goals in 12 games. he is playing on the 4th line. he has never scored more than the 26 goals he scored 5 years ago on a loaded habs team. he has 0 hockey IQ. 0. and he floats for long stretches on a team that already has / had too many floaters. time for new blood. his trade doesn't affect the 'core' he was replaced by guys like pacioretty and Leblanc. i'm more worried about the return if vegan skeletor decides to trade someone like pleks, who's actually part of our offense
He has shown glimpses of what he could do, but man, give me a freakin' break, was about time he got traded. The poor guy looked like a lost puppy for the major part of this season. A 2nd ain't bad either.
Well, I wouldn't be too upset guys. This year you will draft either Grig or Nail. Next year you will be near the bottom also because of your rebuild/retool and be in the running for Nathan Mackinnon, who is another Crosby type phenom.
