SK - Fisher - Erat
AK - Legwand - Hornqvist
Wilson-Spailing-Tootoo
Halischuk-Gaustad-Smith

(Borque sent down)
Trotz said he's keeping the 1st line, and there is no reason he would split up the 33-13-22 line. Not bad at all....dang
What I want:
AK-Fisher-Erat (All 3 can score and pass pretty well. Very balanced)
SK-Smith-Hornqvist (SK passing to Smith, who shoots. Screen by Hornqvist. just that, all day)
Halischuk-Legwand-Wilson (one of the best 3rd lines we've ever iced. Legwand passes to Willy, Hali does dirty work)
Tootoo-Gaustad-Spailing (Fast 4th line with heart and drive like crazy.)
That is the most balanced top 9 we have ever had with the possible excpetion of 06-07. Give the top 3 lines equal ice time, a true 1A, 1B, 1C deal. Creates tough matchups for the other team, who has to run against essentially 3 2nd lines. Not a bad 4th line either.
It can only be a matter of time before we waive McGratten, can't it?
There's no real roster limit after the deadline, so there's no real point in waiving McGrattan.
There are lots of combinations to be made because so many of the parts are interchangeable. Hopefully that doesn't mean Trotz starts juggling lines like crazy again...
You guys are being silly putting Gaustad on the 4th line! We payed a 1st round draft pick for him, there is no way he isn't at least put on the 2nd. He will get way more minutes than a fourth liner.

We got him so he COULD be on the 4th..he's going to be part of the checking and shut-down line against some of the other teams better lines.

is this a joke?
He will play a bottom six line, you can call it what you want. He will be used as a checking center. He isn't here to score goals. He is here to win faceoffs, shut down opposing centerman, and be a leader on a young team. I would love him between halischuk and spaling personally.

Can't be if we claimed him off waivers. Borque is though.
He can still be a 2-way contract... meaning we wouldn't have to pay him NHL salary if he goes unclaimed. I'd say he's likely on a 2-way contract, but I don't know...

As a Sabres fan I can tell you Goose has spent a lot of time with Kaleta as his winger and ahs his back when he starts stirring things up. Would Tootoo/Goose make sense with your lineup.
Goose = Gaustad, old habits die hard. I'm going to miss the big guy.

Missing isn't necessary. Just hop on the Nashville bandwagon and you can stay with him!
Played around with cap geek. Let's say we make a deep playoff run (looking good), decide to be a cap team (we've been told...), re-sign Weber and Suter + AK and Gill (if we make a playoff run, possible), and the cap rises 4 million dollars. If that happens, we keep our roster and can sign, say, Olli Jokinen. I know its a lot of variables...but...
