flames might make the playoffs this year, despite everything, this year, the team has been unusually lucky. one nothing on the first shot. two goals in the last game with two shots, outshot badly in every game for the last while, yet still managing to steal a point or the game. Although blues arent playing very inspired right now, so maybe we will win with not much effort and we have the horseshoes.
It's because he works for another team? Awkward. When Iginla retires, and he happens to go work for another organization, do they pull it down? Seems strange.
Like I see #2 in a frame, #2 painted in the end zones, and #2 on a banner and hoisted to the rafters, and you say that they won't hand out the number again unless it's basically a superstar player. It sure looked like a jersey retirement.
There've been several players to wear #2 since MacInnis signed the offer sheet from St. Louis.
St. Louis also retired his number, correct? All of these reasons played into the decision not to retire the #2.

You are correct, sir. I don't really know why that would have anything to do with the Flames retiring it or not, he was great for 2 teams. Guess it just makes number retirements more... exclusive.
Off topic, switching between Daytona 500 on Fox/Tsn and the hockey game, and Juan Montoya just broke under caution and clobbered a jet dryer. 200 gallons of fuel on fire on the track. Unbelievable, never seen anything like this before.
