Not, that was ealier in the season.

As disappointing as it was that Feaster couldn't unload any of our UFA's at the trade deadline, the real problem is not Feaster, it's not the coach, it's 100% the players in that room. If you're expecting this lazy and uninspired sad bunch to make the playoffs, you're fooling yourself. Could they make the playoffs? Probably. But that would require hard work and effort on a regular basis, and a will to compete. So in other words - not happening. The Flames are all talk. These players simply don't care to win. No effort, no pride. They know how to talk a big one and tell you all the right things, but that's where it ends.

Does anyone else think we played better and with more effort with our half AHL lineup? Hell thats the lineup that landed us 8th spot for 3 days

Yeah. We really should have just dumped some UFAs for whatever picks we could get our hands on. I'd rather just watch the Heat right now to be honest.

I think we are also seeing how important Butler really is to our blueline. Since going down with his injury the Flames have allowed 13 goals in 3.5 games

Well what do you expect when you're paying Bouwmeester close to $7 million and a guy like Stajan $3.5 million.

If only we had Detroit's management/scouting team.

Did anyone else hear David Backes chirping at Blake Comeau about being put on waivers at the end of the game last night? I found it hilarious.

Was that before or after Comeau ran into him like a bus down main street?

Yeah I heard it, what a loser. Must be tough when you have waiver material running you over all game long.

St. Louis is a solid, solid team. They will be fun to watch in the PO's. Calgary doesn't even look like they are in the same league.

I have all the respect for Ken Hitchcock. The guy has had a pretty harsh life due to his past (weight problems). He seems to be a very good coach and St. Louis' record since he took the position is nearly perfect. The team has no big names, yet they play with heart and show up every game.

Something the Flames need to learn how to do.
