Desharnais & Subban rated Top-10 in "Bang for your Buck" category (team list inside)

Points per dollar value.

Desharnais is 3rd amongst all NHL players, while Subban is 6th amongst all NHL defenseman.

Max Pacioretty also ranks 5th among forwards who make $1M-$3M per season.

Players on their ELC shouldn't be considered in those lists.

I'm surprised Gomez didn't make that top 10 list

He makes almost as much per point as Desharnais does for the entire season.

Your actually right!

Gomez costs us $681,818.18 per point (7,500,000 / 11 points)
DD costs $750,000 per season

If DD scored as many points as he has this year at the cost per point of Gomez --- he'd be getting paid about $37.5M per season.

Man, Gomez is so bad.

natey I think you are grossly under-rating the value of how well Gomez skates with the puck, how effectively he gains the o-zone, and how useful he is defensively...

this year is clearly just another statistical anomaly, he'll regress to the mean next year and resume his role as an important top-6 player for us. Trust me, I know my stats.

or something to that effect

I think I heard this excuse last year that Gomez was going to come back strong. So it is now two years in a row of suckage for him.

Only thing im happy about with the team ruining the tank is pks play the last 15 games, really bounced back after an aweful season he was having

Glad to see because hes just too good to seem that bad for so long

People kept ragging on him and actually bringing him up in trades, it was sad

I really wish people would stop perpetuating the myth that PK was having a bad season. Or even a mediocre season. He's been an absolute stud defensively, outside of a few glaring mistakes that got media attention.

PK will get about the same amount of points he had last year too, despite the fact that we only just recently got a half way decent set-up man for him to play with on the PP. It really depends on the stability of the rest of our lineup, but if he plays with Markov on the 1st PP unit next year, and we get a second line going, PK's going to get 50+ points next year.
