The "leadership" wasn't exactly producing wins (I assume you're talking about Schultz). Plus, I don't see how losing one alternate captain would constitute a leadership nosedive.
So far, Gilbert has been good. Schultz has been good for Edmonton.
Don't worry about leadership! We have 3 WJC captains on the cusp of joining the team. Before we know it, we'll have leadership coming out of our ears.
