Not bad. By the sounds of it the Jets were most likely going to lose Oduya to F.A. anyways, so to get something for him is better than nothing. As long as we make more of these 2 draft picks ( 2nd 2013 3rd 2013 ) than the 1st pick we had in this past draft ( sorry, but the Jets could have waited until the 4th round and still drafted Mark S.).... we will be ahead.

Now if we could just get something for #80.

Still think we didn't get enough (mostly based on Hal Gill, who is equally as bad as Oduya), but maybe we could package our two seconds in that draft for a late first at some point.

I've seen you say this several times and I just don't understand.

Hal Gill + a conditional 5th for a 2nd rounder, Blake Geoffrion and Rob Slaney? I prefer the return on Oduya to be honest.

I agree. Hal Gill is also proven in the playoffs and an excellent PK guy. Oduya is...not.

Was it an overpay? Somewhat, but if you guys are taking a run at the cup again having Oduya will be very helpful.

People around here will concur that Johnny was very good for us this season.

Very good value picked up by Chevy for Johnny.

Chevy has full intention to build the Jets thru the draft, and grabbing an extra 2 picks in the first 3 rounds is the way to do it.
