Geoffrion Gomez White

Gorges Subban
Emelin Diaz
Kaberle Campoli

then we got 44 million already spent next yr on 12 guys!!

with people needing BIG RAISES in offseason.
ouch... those lines don't look very good, however once Mr. Dache returns, watch out!

Subban won't get 5, what the habs should do is lowball him because of his season and try to get a long term contract (like 7-8 years) with a good cap hit. Like how the Canucks handled the Burrows contract. Habs should be signing players longterm before they breakout that way the cap hit is significantly less. Imagine if Subban brokeout like this year? We dodged a bullet and lets take advantage. As for Gomez, bury him in Hamilton...cap hit salvaged from a buyout.

well i left Subban off that list ,so you can pick your own number but he'll get alot more than some think ..AND he isn't goona play too nice with being shat on by this management ...

the problem is we don't get any better, but our pay role goes way way up,same roster ...
this is why will be down for years...

Who cares about what the NHL thinks? Without the Montreal Canadiens, there would be no NHL. If they want to let players break our guys necks, we'll scream 'hey we are tanking and you can't do anything about it...and oh btw, we want all the good players from phoenix because we fund that team'

Do you know what the amnesty buy out means? Guess not. What you described is the regular buy out. The amnesty buyout, which was present when the present CBA was signed, gave the opportunity for teams to buy out contracts without an impact on they salary cap. IIRC the Habs did it with Brisebois' contract in 2005.

no i understand what a 6 day amnesty buy out is....that is very much something we don't know will EXIST in new CBA.

what we do know that does exist now is a normal buyout ..so that is what IFFFF the Habs want him gone, buy him out we got to use for now .

there some big raises coming for players that is gonnna make it real hard 2013

even if you sink Gomez to minors or amnesty buyout

Eric Cole 4.5 million
David D 5 million
Max Pac 5 million
Josh G 4 million
Kaberle 4.25 million
Gionta 5 million
Price 5 million
Bourque 3,3 mill
Plek 5 mill
Markov 5,75 mill

Serious ? You think after his 3-4 goals season and all the fuss surrounding him, he just walks back in next year with his 7,2 millions cap hit ?

Or are you just afraid that by acknowledging his soon-to-be departure you might jinx it ?

Pacioretty yes, Desharnais no.

Perfect example I heard around here the other day was Desharnais is the M.A Bergeron of forwards. Only a mentally challenged gm would give him 5 million. But then again this organization gave that to Brisebois.

If you want a losing team, build around Desharnais.

Im just tellin ya ,

the first part of the season BEFORE COLE PACMAN,before they got a clue to put him and Pac back together as they were in AHL, he(DD) was setting guys up on his line, and they couldn't cash them in!

truth be told DD could have 80 pts this year!

Love DD huge fan of his but comparing him to st.louis is way off. St.louis has elite speed, hands and shot. DD wont put up the 30 goals to go with the 45-60 assists he will be more of a 12-15g 45-55a center who I see the potential of 60-70 points ceiling. He could easily surprise us but as a fan of his thats what i believe his potential is.

DD ,is a goal scorer.....the difference is he shot more in minors,he had 30 goals near in 60 games in 2010
and 10 more in 19 playoff games..(*19 pt in 23 playoff game 2010) 37 goals in 79 games.

When he starts taking 150 shots a year in NHL ,you will see 25 goals from him .

Right now he is a set up guy, which is workin.

90 points???

That's just ridiculous wait til they hit 60 points points before saying they're 90 point forwards.

We'll be lucky if they become consistent 65+ forwards .

i like desharnais, i'm a fan of his. The St.Louis comparison kind of makes sense, but St.Louis is also a one in a million player considering how his career played out. Being a 90 point player in this league you need a LOT to work out for you...the sedins aren't even at that pace this year. Temper your expectations man.

As i said, that Pacman, Dd ,Cole line hasn't played a full season together, and look at there numbers.
you got to remember it took JM ,ALONG TIME to put them together..

Now a full season,i see Pac DD headin 90 pts yes...

Again ,DD for first part of season was settin up line mates(not Cole or Pac) who was missing easy goals from his set ups.I say he could really could have 80 pts this year...

So i don't need to temper anything .I know what i been watching for years now right from ECHL.

To be fair, Desharnais is on close to an 80-point pace in 2012. He's only getting better. I'd try to lock him up long term as soon as possible for as cheap as possible. I'd bet he'd take a beauty hometown discount too because 1) it's close to home and 2) Montreal gave him a chance. I'm guessing 4 years $10M.
