Nobody fights in the playoffs. They might hit and play tough, but not fight. Scott is a real liability. bad move by a pretty good GM (JMO)

P.S. Who's spot is this guy gonna take?

Not every acquisition is for the playoffs.

One could guess Scott was picked up (for a 5th, relax guys) for some intimidation/protection for the team during the stretch run of the remaining season.

as a Hawks fan, I bid you good luck watching Scott try to play ice hockey, if he ever dresses.

The game is called different in the PO's...dmen can get away with a lot more when it comes to moving players from the front of the net....one thing this team doesn't have is a guy who can move guys out from in front of Hank...but we shall see

Might just be depth to make sure we can give Girardi and McDonagh nights off down the stretch.

Did you guys watch the playoffs last year? Are you aware the Bruins and Flyers are in the same conference?

I applaud Sather for acquiring nuclear weaponry. Hopefully, it does not have to be used, but the BROONS and Filthadelphia are ready to take advantage of the lax rule set in the playoffs. Better to part with that 5th rounder than watch Marian Gaborik become Brad Marchand's speed bag, or Lucic make Lundqvist his *****...Now there's someone to collect the fee for such behavior...

6'8" 270 lb monster with a mean streak. Love these kinds of guys. Mitchell and Bickel go down, MZA and Scott are on the roster.

This thread mimics the thread when we acquired Boogaard last year. The exact same people crying that it adds nothing but when he plays they will cheer him on and be happy to have him.

The more footage I watch of him, the more I love him. He's the kind of guy we need against the filthadelphia failures and the boston ruins.

And here is Scott defending his players right here. Dirty hit and Scott drops the gloves and wreaks havoc on Staubitz's face.

Scott is a monster that play d or wing he is the best fighter in NHL bar none, he plays so so and is a enforcer on the wing but no one will touch Stasi or Stepan now .. I begged for him over booty and now I have him great move

the way he fights, he has to have some boxing or MMA back ground.

Who was touching them before?

Hell, further, who was able to intimidate the Rangers this year? I've watched 80% of the games, so I may have missed something, but the only ones I remember are the Blues.

No one thought that Bickel or Stralman would amount to anything when we got them, but put them in this system and they've shined. If Scott can be another guy like Bickel who plays serviceable D and sticks up for his teammates, I fail to see the downside.

tough indeed.
If he ever gets into a hugging contest with an unwilling fighter that suddenly does not have the appetite for it and if the name on the sweater is one of these guys : Hartnell - Simmonds - Sestito - Cooke - Assham - Boulton - Janssens - Clarkson - Lucic - Thornton - McQuaid - Marchand and Chara he can just start jack hammering away and I won't feel very bad about it for the rest of the season unless it is a 1 goal game that means everything !!! Some of these guys have it coming to them !!!
