I love Kassian, but I'll drive him to the airport for Hodgson.

Hodgson is one of the young centers that I coveted for the Sabres.

Love this deal.

You will learn about him soon enough. This has "Darcy is a wizard" written all over it. He got them to take gragnani too.

I'm probably going to follow the Sabres now. Sabres just got their future captain.

Love the fact that we needed a center and got one. I'll miss Kassians grit and physicality but I freaking love this move.

Can't say Darcy and the boys aren't trying.

Insanity. Both need time to pan out. Hard to say who wins...both players fulfill a need on either team. Darcy showed some balls today. Sabres hockey just got a hell of a lot more interesting.

He was #9 in Vancouver, my favorite number. This is jersey destiny for me! That being said, Derek can be 19.

Gets his points through hockey senses. Great shot, both wrist and slap. Has shown clutch tendencies. Generally good two-way centre, but has made some mistakes in his rookie year in defensive coverage.... what else? Great character.

What can you tell us about Kassian? I was hoping this board would be as in shock and disappointment as ours, but that doesn't seem to be the case...

Good move for you guys. Got Hodgson and Sulzer, which should give both the forwards and defense a bit of a shakeup.

Love this trade. Can't wait for the next game. Hodgson is going to get tons of time on the PP compared to being in Vancouver. Should be great to watch.

This, I use to follow the Sabres a bit but now I might again. You guys tell Roy to back the **** up. Hodgson is taking over first line center. >.>

No seriously, half the Canuck fanbase may watch Buffalo now.

Unbelievable... Hogdson will be your #1C as soon as next season and would be amazing with Vanek and Pominville. He has outstanding offensive instincts and making plays and has wicked both wrist and slap shots. He still needs to work on his skating, F/Os and defensive zone plays to be elite player although it's drastically improved over this season. He's not overly big but he's really good at winning puck battles along the board. You guys will love him. I just hope Kassian becomes Lucic 2.0 or this trade would look extremely foolish for Vancouver as soon as by next season. Also, thank us for taking your whipping boy in MAG.
