So prices on stubhub skyrockets because of the winning streaks, why are they not plummeting now that the Bruins have injuries and are only playing like a .500 team?
Also to the STH's, what are we looking at for playoff tickets this year, as an estimation? I plan on buying through stubhub for ~2 home games per round this season.
Re-Upped my tickets today. My seats are in 328. Anyone over there? I know NO ONE near me this year... had a lot of good people last year and especially in my 327 playoff seats from last year (my old rep was awful and I moved around a lot...)
Early renewal got my tickets at 42 a seat vs the 39 now. Box office at 95...

If you could convince all the other B's fans who use stubhub to stop buying till prices come down, it would work. As long people are still buying at the current prices, there's no reason for sellers to drop their prices.
The B's are still a very real threat to repeat this year. All things considered, there's far more buzz surrounding the B's than there is around the C's. Secondary market pricing is as much about buzz as it is about how a team is playing.
If the B's continue to struggle and they have a early first round exit from the playoffs, you can bet prices will drop significantly next season. Until that point, I wouldn't bet on it though.
The advantage of agreeing to renew during the lock out was you got an 8 percent interest rate on the games not played.
It locked in your price for next season, but never said prices would go up if you didn't. I would assume it'll be a much higher percentage than 10% who don't renew. For 50% of the games you can get loge seats easily for under $30 on C's list/Stubhub/Ebay/etc.
It will be interesting to see what deals new season ticket holders can get next season.

Loyalty PLUS Plan. Please review the details below carefully. These benefits will take effect if any games in your ticket package are cancelled due to the current NBA work stoppage.
You agree to leave all funds for your 2011-12 season tickets in your account and you will earn 8% APR in Celtics Loyalty Reward credits during the work stoppage. Accrual period will begin on October 1, 2011 if games are cancelled and will conclude at the end of the work stoppage of on September 30, 2012 (whichever occurs first).
This option requires renewal for the 2012-13 season. You will enjoy 2011 Round 1 Playoff pricing for ALL rounds of the 2012 Playoffs and no ticket price increase on 2012-13 regular season tickets. Playoff pricing lock is subject to the Celtics qualifying for the 2012 Playoffs.

I disagree. This Bruins team will be in the hunt for years to come as constituted. Prices should stay in this area when you couple it with lack of availability and high box office prices

I have an email conversation with my rep specifically saying my only reason for doing loyalty plus would be to avoid a price increase and asked if he believed there would be one. He said he couldnt see them offering in the plan and then giving it to everyone later.
I also have seen a release where the no price increase has been announced.

To each their own.
If the B's never went on the great run early to mid season, I don't think we'd be looking at prices like we are right now. Prices generally jump the second half of the season, but not as much as they did this year. Their great run is what spurred the demand imo. It created a buzz. Obviously the cup created a lot of buzz. But there were still plenty of offerings on ticketexchange in October. The team getting off to a real slow start brought prices right down to earth. I would have thought the buzz surrounding the cup would've been more than enough to over come the normal October weak market and sluggish play...I was wrong.
If we continue to play half assed, followed by a 1st round exit, the frenzy will not be the same. I'm not saying the market won't be profitable. I just don't see it being as profitable as it is right now. It will be more like it was last season. I'd say prices would drop by at least 25%.
For example, last year prime games in my $40 316 mid row seats sold for $80-$125 per ticket, depending on timing of sale, opponent, date etc. The cheapest they would sell at is $50-$55. This year they are going for $150-$250 each. And the lowest they are selling at is $100-$120. You think that if we play .500 hockey through April and lose in the first round to the Sens or Panthers prices would stay this high? I agree we have a young team that should be good for the next 3-5 years. That doesn't mean we aren't vulnerable to injuries or other stuff that brings teams down for a prolonged period of time. Again, I think both have to happen in order to bring prices down- .500/sub .500 play and a early 1st round exit to a mediocre team. If only one or the other happens, I think the market will more than likely stay high. I just think the market is more susceptible to weak play than you think. Time will tell. These concussions are really starting to pile up on us. Imagine if we still had Savvy?
I renewed my ST this morning. Probably it's just that I am afraid of the "Mob" coming after me if I don't renew, right? I saw Goodfellas...I know what happened to Tommy.
Anyone going to request a Brian Rolston stick as their early renewal gift? I'd like to request Bergeron, but it will probably break in shipping. (I kid...I kid)
Looking for 2,3 or 4 tickets to one of the following:
MON 3/19 vs Toronto
TUE 3/27 vs Tampa Bay
THU 3/29 vs Washington
TUE 4/3 vs Pittsburgh
SAT 4/7 vs Buffalo
I have only been to one game this year and would like to get to another. I'm not picky about day of week or opponent. I can't pay before the 17th, hence these dates. I'll take anywhere from 2-4 tickets, just need more than a day's notice to determine who I can go with. Balcony only.
If anyone can help, let me know. I'd just like to see more than one game this season without breaking the bank. Thanks!

Im going to request a Rick Nash stick and see what they say
The weather will keep some people home tomorrow night. Buyer's market, in the big picture.
I'm guessing there will be $5 C's tickets on Causeway street tonight.
I posted a ad on CL a couple days ago looking for 4 loge for tonight for $50 each. Some guy replied offering $80 baseline loge and went off the deep end saying they haven't played a home games in two weeks...and I was crazy for expecting $50 loge seats I might email him back tonight with my confirmation # when I buy them for $20 each.

If they ever traded Pierce (rumor from credible Yahoo NBA writer), you might see $2 tickets for weeknight games on StubHub.
Where can you find the Box Office Prices for 2012/2013?
You can't. If you are looking for public prices then the Bruins use dynamic pricing so prices are fluid during the season. If you are looking for ST prices the Bruins send you personal pricing with just your seat cost, there is no pricing chart published.

So where did people get this info?:
"Just renewed. Did the 5 month payment plan rather than 10. Not sure if that was a wise decision or not, but considering I did the pay as they play playoff plan, I didn't want to get bombarded with extra ticket charges between March-June like last year. The every other month payments for the regular season will hopefully soften the playoff payments. Like I can worry about playoffs in April and not have a season ticket payment that month.
My seat 22 rows from the ice went up $5 to $70. That price jumps to $85 after the early bird renewal. And the expected box office price is $150. So I'll happily take the $5 increase and be thankful I can pay under $80 to sit in the loge"
