With the 70th overall selection in the 2012 Habs board mock draft, the Winnipeg Jets are proud to select, from Whitby of the OJHL...forward Devin Shore.

He is committed to the University of Maine.

I will add write-up tomorrow. Next GM will be PM'd.

Good pick. Hesitated for a while between Shore and Gusev.

I hate you, Habsfan. I was one pick away from getting him...

I'll make my pick in a few.

Great pick. I went with Lindell but struggled if I should end up taking Shore instead.

With the 71st overall pick the Tampa Bay Lightning are pleased to select, from the Guelph Storm, forward Tanner Richard.

Tanner was passed over in the draft last year but has made an excellent case for himself this year, showing great offensive instincts with Guelph. We feel he has the upside to be a versatile centre in the NHL who can play either a top-six or a checking role due to his smarts and intensity.

Next GM has been PM'd

Richard is a great pick, imo. More strong hockey bloodlines, too.

"The Buffalo Sabres would first like to tell the teams who took Gusev, Shore and Hyka to jump off a cliff. Secondly, the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select with the 73rd overall pick from Soldertalje of the Allsvenskan league, winger Emil Lundberg

Emil brings a big body who loves to score garbage goals. Among draft eligible prospects in the Allsvenskan league, he was one of the top scorers. His big frame combined with his coach-ability and combativeness will make him a player in this league. We are hoping he develops along the lines of Johan Franzen.

I came very close to selecting him with my pick. Did you know he played a pre-season game with the Flyers? Actually scored a pretty sweet breakaway goal.

At 74th overall, the Dallas Stars select, from the Brampton battalion of the OHL, D Dylan Blujus.

GM says: "Dylan is a big, powerful defender, becoming one of the best in the OHL in a shut-down role, and one we feel also has an untapped offensive upside. He reads the game well and has a heavy shot, with some work on his mobility he could become a first-pairing guy who can play the point with the man advantage."

"He wants to play the game like Shea Weber and we think that's a real good target for him to set for himself in terms of development."

I can take over as the Sens for Homarid, as long as no one objects.

Awesome pick. Blujus is a guy I wouldn't mind the Habs taking even though he's a defenseman. You're right about the Weber comparisons. If he hits a big developmental curve he could end up like Shea.

Great value for the third round! So much upside there and he's still almost certain to be a solid stay-at-home guy if he doesn't hit that Shea Weber curve.

BPA in the third but I still would feel like "More defensmen? Really?"

I'm going to await the okay from somebody before I officially take over the Sens for Homarid. Also gives him a chance to make that selection should he have time before his vacation.

Haha, for sure. I'm okay with late round defense if they are clear BPA (which Blujus would be at this point, I can only think of a few other names in contention). 1st 2 rounds I do not want D for the Habs.

Devin Shore is also a big Habs fan!

Red Line Report said he has first round skills and hockey sense, just needs to quicken that first step.

You can go ahead and make the pick ..

If you are going to be nice enough to take over for me, not fair for me to delay it

I already made the best pick in the 1st round anyway

I personnally can't now, just checking what's new but won't be around all the day. Was just responding to WTK who wanted to hvae people saying that it'd be okay if he picks. Just said that he could go on.

So WTK will be making the pick.

With the 76th selection in the 2012 NHL Draft, the Ottawa Senators are proud to select from the Indiana Ice of the USHL, Forward Robbie Baillargeon

Baillargeon has tremendous hockey IQ, he's dangerous around the net and is a natural goal scorer. We like his commitment to BU and think he will develop his all around game at the college level.

The fact that a few of you wanted Shore brings a smile to my face.

And good pick with Hyka, watsatheo! I could have seen him go as high as the 2nd round, but I believe he's been recently injured (pretty bad as well) and that may make him fall as low as the 5th round possibly.
