With the 83rd overall pick, the Red Wings are proud to select, from Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School,

Teodors Blugers!

"The Latvian centre has been a late riser in this draft and he shows much promise. We are aware that he played against weaker competition this year, but we are confident in his skills. He will join a strong program at Minnesota State next year that will help Teddy grow as a player. He has great playmaking skills and we look forward to having him with us in Detroit."

Boston has been pm'd.

Glad I got my NJ Devils 3rd round pick in before you guys took it away from me and gave it to Minny.

Devils' draft picture changes once again with advancement to Conference Final. 3rd round pick in 2012 draft now to Minnesota for Zidlicky.

Sorry guys, just went with the top remaining prospect on my list in the interest of impartiality.

With the 87th overall selection in the 2012 NHL Draft the Ottawa Senators are proud to select from the Moncton Wildcast of the QMJHL, Defenseman James Melindy.

Melindy has a big frame for a defenseman. He's paying his dues in the QMJHL and has shown some offensive flair. We think he could develop into a solid defenseman at the NHL level.

Good pick, he's a guy that could be a bust but he could also be a top 4 NHL d-man, has nice upside for a 3rd round pick. 6'3" moves well, has a bit of an edge and good puck skills.

I'm thinking he could progress along the lines of Morgan Ellis, so I decided to try my luck. Since Ottawa isn't the team I was picked for (taking over for Homarid) I decided that it was well worth the gamble.

Yeah not a bad comparison. Similar size, mobility and RH shot. I think Ellis was more polished when drafted even though Melindy is a late 1993. Melindy has a bit more mobility and a bit more mean streak.

Sorry guys I've been super busy. I'll update the OP with the latest picks and I'll add the order for the bottom half of the next round shortly.

I just want to say that Philly's drafting sucks so much right now. Totally out of touch with reality. Come on Markov79fan....you know Philly will take no chance this time and draft 5 goalies...

I know....Subban left one spot before yours....not a reason.
