The Habs currently have $20 Million in cap space going into the off-saeson, but they have to sign Price, Subban, Eller, Geffrion, White, Emelin, etc. But assuming they can get rid of Gomez they should still have $10-15 mil. available. Assuming Parise and Suter won't come to Montreal here's my list of free agents I'd like to see them go after.

IMO 2012 IS NOT the year to go spending ridiculous amounts on so so free agents... I would be a little more patient and open up the chest in 2013:

He would solidify our D core so much! Don't think I ever wanted to see a FA in a Habs jersey since Giordano was supposed to hit the market (and never did ).
Between Suter and Parise, I choose the former 10 times out of 10!
Maybe, but you have no way of knowing that. If Anaheim has made Getzlaf available, according to numerous reports, than maybe resigning him is out of the question.

At forward, McClement is just about the only guy I'm really interested in. Not really any other player worth giving a lot of money and term, just depth signings.
On D, one of Carle or Wideman would be nice, but I'd really like to see some size added, so these signings aren't helping a lot. Move Weber and Diaz to get a big, physical guy who can play the PK (sadly, only Sarich is a really enticing option in that regard) and then we might be able to sign one of them.

Wow, you set high standards. I would be surprised if they sign with any one team, let alone with Montreal who has problems signing even after good seasons.
Not that I'm saying they shouldn't go after Suter and Parise, but I find it hard to believe any top free agent would want to sign in Montreal right now unless they're giving them a ridiculous amount of money.
I think Garrison is pretty interesting, he has some size and 9PPG goals this year. I also depends on Markov too, I'm kind of under the impression that he's done.
David Jones might be a good fit as a guy with some size that can score.
