slow-mo pp. isles changing and caps saunter leisurely into the zone.

A injured Bäckström alone against the Isles would be better then this...

LOL at this team. Losing to the Isles, at home, with everything on the line. Of COURSE this is how this game was going to go.

We will probably lose....simply because we NEED to win so bad!

Nabokov is playing great, stop pretending the Caps aren't playing great too.

Why do Ovechkin's teammates pass to him in transition at this point?

Complain all you want, but the passing looks pretty good as long as it's not going to Ovechkin's stick.

Versus what?

His line sucks, Ovechkin gets no support down low, hes finding himself down low by himself, they won't go down low on their own chip ins.

The more I watch this team the more I am convinced McPhee must go and must go immediately after the season. Hunter was a piss poor choice for a coach, and I think he realizes this. His press conference was a pretty weak endorsement of DH. And he is talking double-speak. On the one hand, he values prospects and picks too much to part with them. But on the other hand vets lingering on the bench aren't worth futures and prospects. And he saw a spark after 2 games? Really?

I have until this season been a big GMGM supporter. But his time has come.

The Caps are being shutout at home by the mighty Islanders. They had one shot in the first ten minutes of the second period. PP looks average, offense is inconsistent. Frankly, these two clubs look like mirror images of each other tonight. If you want to call that great, then go right ahead.

He got one shot, and it was a damn obvious backhand only option with 2 players blocking the left side of the net in front of them, instead he slides over the left side of the net and does a limp wrist movement to try and catch it, his glove wasn't even facing the player, it was pointed up, so no **** it bounces over his glove and goes in.
