Much rather have Burish, he isn't as stupid as Carcillo and doesn't take as many cheap shots.

2 reason I don't want Carcillo back, he takes way too many penalties and many of them not needed and at costly times. The other is that he often takes cheap shots and I don't want people retaliating on guys like Toews or Kane because Carcillo ran one of their guys. There are plenty of guys who can fit that grit/grinder role without all the risks Carcillo has.

He also doesn't do much. Carcillo's abilities on offense were under rated and unappreciated I think. I'd take him over Burish.

Realistically, I think that it, sadly enough, will be Kruger. Bowman thinks he can do big things, but we all know his development is forever stalled. He's being handed too big a load, playing 2C in Rockford is different than in the big club. He honestly can't handle the bundle, we all know it, he knows it, but he's honored and he's not going to complain. If Saku out of Anaheim hits FA, then maybe we try and get him. I honestly think the Leafs will re-sign Grabo, it's their best option now and in the future. I, realistically, see their C's going like this next year

Toews
Kruger/Bolland
Bolland/Kruger
Mayers/Minor UFA signing/McNeil

You must have missed the announcement. The Leafs resigned Grabo today, 5 years, $5.5M cap hit per year.
