Ok there LAI, get real here. You can make a good case that kyle is a 3rd line player. But he is NOT a 4th line player in this league. That's just your emotions getting to you.

You're right. He shouldn't even be on an NHL roster. He turns the puck over more than a 70 yr old cripple in an over 30 men's league. Get him off this ******* team before other teams notice how terrible he is.

To me it's such a passive way to go about the situation. How often are the NYI down a goal late, and the other team is still attacking us. I'm not saying they shouldn't have been thinking about defense, but they also don't have to treat the situation so passively and put out players to "kill the penalty." the thought process should be, let's win this freaking faceoff & have some guys on the ice who can skate the puck out of the zone & who knows possibly score an empty netter. This coach thinks the exact opposite. He thinks, well if we lose the faceoff this is what we need to do. To me that's an awful way to go about coaching. It's a losers mentality IMO.

It's just like how this team treats 4 on 4 situations. They treat it as though they're on the penalty kill & they just let the other team enter the zone & do whatever they want to.

I'm sick & tired of this coach. He doesn't make the right decisions to give this team the best possible chance to succeed. Given the lack of talent that's here, they need a coach who will use what is here to their fullest potential.

Bailey had miscues, but at least he played with some moxie and scored a goal. Okposo played with something else....

...it would be really nice to see what he, and MANY OTHERS, could do in the hands of an owner who actually added veteran talent for these guys to lean on AND an actual NHL head coach to put them in situations in which they have the best chance to succeed.

...and that's not to say I blame this hideous year on anyone but him. He's a pro with a nice new contract and simply did not live up to it this year...but I am not ready to jettison him yet...no chance.
I feel the same way. I want to see him next year. He was an unknown entity that teams didn't key in on last year, but It looks like they are all aware of him now. So this year he needs to adjust. Give him next year to see if he does by at least January.

Kyle needs to be moved this year. He has had his chances but continues to play like a complete Mary when his physical game is the key to his success. If he is still injured, sit him out. Or better yet, trade him for defensive help, or package him with our first for Nail. Either way, move him. He is useless as is.

And I am sick to death of every Mary on this team requiring Tavares as a linemate. Grow a set and take the line you are given on your shoulders and make it work. Or go away.

And some wanted this bum for Captain. Unbelievable.

I was watching on and off. But still 2-0 lead? No excuse.

If his 3rd gear wasn't faster than most NHLers you wouldn't even notice him out there. It's a gift from god that he's even relevant and nothing more.

I see no sign of a player who cares... only a mentally fragile player w/great speed who ***** his pants when the puck is on his stick.
he kills himself out there everytime we are on the pk. you guys are a thankless bunch. As long as he would score, you would sanctify any ass, but as grabs is has been cold all year you dont honour his effort. I would be interested whether there are statistics about most distance covered during a game?

The fact is they gave up three unanswered goals... two coming with less than 5 minutes left in the third. Inexcusable. You can put the blame on whoever you want, but the fact is they had a game in their hands and let it slip... as a team.

look at buffalo. They had one decent pick in the last 10 years and they chose vanek. He is awesome for them, even though people often thought he is underachieving due to his enormous contract (ill take that kind of underachieving any day for a 5th pick). He would be one person i would very much like to see on jt's wing. That is how we should measure our picks, comparing them to other teams.
