I think AK and Gaustad will be given similar minutes, especially early, so that they can become accustomed to how the Preds play. Gaustad should see PK time, and AK should be on the PP (though with it rockin' at number 1 he may not get a lot of PP time). We may not see much of AK in the top six tonight unless he comes in and clicks quickly. Give him a chance to practice with the team before we start throwing him to the wolves. It's not like Carolina is a lethal team, and the Preds have been playing well anyway.
Since the Thrashers left we get to see both teams live in real time instead of middle of the night replays. Talk about a silver lining. Don't be fooled by Carolina's poor record. When they're on top of their game, they can be as tough and as good as any team in the league.

I am not a happy man. I have practice tonight right around game time to get ready for the state tourney. Im excited for it, but I really wanted to watch AK and PG
I really like the way Yip played. He made at least 1 bad pass in our own zone but his energy level and sog was fun to watch! I think he has been a good pick-up.
Also Jack Hillen made 2 HUGE saves last night! Way to go JH!
I'm a bit worried about this game. Tired team, back-to-back, Lindy probably starting, an easily overlooked opponent, road game, two new guys that haven't practiced with the team to try to integrate into the lineup.

Have I missed anything?
I'm a bit leery as well, I thought last night could be a down night as well. The good news is that the Canes just haven't been very good this year, one of the most ideal opponents for a game like this. I still don't feel optimistic though.
I just finished a 7,000 mile / 50-day US odyssey to ski, see friends, drink too much, and watch the Preds play. I just got back home to Charlotte yesterday just in time to drive to Raleigh for this game wooo. Got seats right behind the Preds' bench for like $25 each haha; that's even better than Nashville. Go Preds!
This made me think, and I understand it's a crazy idea, what if Suter and Weber talked to Nash, they decided that it would cost the team too much in a trade at the deadline, and decided it might be better (cheaper) to get him at the draft? Now it's clear Nash wants out. He could demand a trade to one team and one team only, lowering his value.

I do. Peters in goal, Ruutu, LaRose, Pitkanen out. Skinner not at his best.
I'm a bit wary of this game as well. Nothing at all against Lindback, but we just don't seem to be the same team with him in net. Although with that said, this is getting to crunch time and we shouldn't need any kind of extra motivation to bring it every night. Fact is we are a far superior team and as long as Lindy plays well we should be fine.
Almost made the trip to the game, but the little one decided she didn't feel good. Hopefully the Preds feel fine and come out with some jump for the new guys!
