Nick Schultz Appreciation Thread

I have been pretty critical of his play this year but in the end I will truly miss the guy. I feel bad for him and his family. He has been on the team since the very beginning going through all the ups and downs this franchise has experienced. I hope he can get his game back to where it used to be in Edmonton, he will be a great leader for the young guys to emulate there.

Good Luck Schultzy!!

Too bad Edmonton wanted him. I'd have liked to see him go to a team I can actually cheer for, respect, etc.

I wish Schultz a very long, and successful career. He'll probably end up winning a cup someday if he sticks with Edmonton.

His game seemed to slip a bit this year (as did most players on the Wild), but you never doubted his integrity. A great guy and I really hope he does well in Edmonton.

He inspired me to name my kid Nick. Not so much because I liked Schultz, but because when we were picking out baby names I was watching a lot of Wild games and I liked the sound of it.

Also I forgot, I have his laundry bag from two seasons ago

Because of the Nick thing and my kid's room has a Wild theme.

Nick was a class act that played the game the right way. The NHL is a business as well as a game, and therefore we will miss out on seeing Nick play here in MN, but I wish him luck in the future and he gets to wear a pretty sweat sweater up there in Edmonton.

Go get them Nick!

wish him all the luck in the world. great guy, great family; they were essentially minnesotan by this point. I know he'll thrive in Eddy as a quality vet--they really need that from what i've seen. I'll save any negative comments regarding the transaction for other threads.

Wish him nothing but the best. I have enjoyed watching him play for the Wild. I hope he can play a good game for Eddy as well. Except of course when they play the Wild.

I thought this was gonna be another James Sheppard Appreciation Thread; glad to see people actually appreciate him.

It was time to see him go, but it's still sad.

It's the end of an era to say the very least.
