Blake Geoffrion: How is he looking as a potential NHL regular?

Ok... as of this thread start, BG has only played one game so far for Montreal (which is obviously not considered a valid sample size)

Still... did any of the astute HF minds see potential in his game?

Can he make the Habs lineup next year and contribute to rebuilding this once legendary team?

Any early opinions?

Thanks

He had a very good game last night ! I liked everything of his game. He is a hard worker and I really hope he will become a regular on our 3rd line for the future years.

57, like Pouliot as well. 5 for Boom Boom, 7 for Howie.

Watching him last Friday with the Bulldogs at the Bell Centre, I knew people would think of Pouliot when Geoffrion chose #57. Tall lanky player with an uncommon stride. Hopefully he doesn't follow Benny's footsteps.

Hard to tell after one game. But he seemed to have lots of piss and vinegar last night.

Think it might be because they wear the same # But he handles the puck much like Pouliot minus the falling down every 5 strides

Like I said before, Blake looks like a hard worker. Nothing to do with Pouliot...

Less talented, but he will give EVERYTHING for this organization

Will make the team in Montreal next year but on a good/elite team he would be in the AHL just like he was for nashville

Pretty much this. Don't know how much of an evaluation is being asked for after 14 mins of ice time.

I only watched about half a period but he also seemed to fall down at the same rate as pouliot

I also think Pierre houde mistook him for marc andre bergeron although I dont know where that came from.

Yeah I think when Geoffrion took his shot on goal Houde yelled "Bergeron!" - then corrected himself.

I think bergeron wore #47... so the number is kinda close but its still funny given the size disparity.

Would like to see him getting more involved physically, and he needs to work on his skating. Looks to have good IQ with the puck, knows where to go when his teammates have it, didn't get a chance to look at his shot much unfortunately.

Bergeron does rhyme with Geoffrion. Not perfectly, but pretty close. Plus, he looked like he was preparing for a one-timer.
