Still not over. As long as we win 2 outta every 3 I think we have a shot. That loss against COlumbus hurt but not as bad as a loss against a team we are chasing would, or a loss against a team right behind us.
If I had to choose a game to loose that would likely be one of them. Should have been one of the ones they won is what makes it hard.
To be fair, while many of us (myself included) find the playoffs to be a real longshot at this point, I wouldn't call it totally "not not over" until the team runs out of losses... they've still got 4.5 more losses before I would say it's really "not not over". Right now it's only "fractionally not over", but still at least partially.
as I promised I would never go to another Kings game when the Red Wings came into town cuz the stands are so full of their fans in red that it is disgusting,
so today was not only likely to be the nail in the Kings' playoff coffin,
it was at the hands of the the team I hate the most: Red Wings.
We had them beat and then played about the crappiest defense this whole season in the last 5 1/2 minutes.
We always back off of them, and look so intimidated by them instead of challenging them when they have the puck, it makes me sick.
Losing to the Blue Jackets yesterday was horrible and to then choke away today's game, is almost unbearable.
Now we almost have to win the next two games to have any chance of the playoffs, and while I will still root for our Kings, realistically they won't make it, barring a complete collapse by two of the teams ahead of them, namely San Jose and Phoenix, and that won't happen...
