I had it 29-28 Johnson but that fight was damn close. I was getting ready for a 4th round, as I could have seen a 10-8 third for McCall. Great fight.

3rd round probably should've been a 10-8.

These flyweights are going to be involved in a lot of photo-finish type decisions like this one.

Could've gone either way and cost me a loss.

That decision was trash. If MM wins the belt, McCall can get a rematch and beat the brakes off him.

Wow that was such bs. McCall should get first crack at whoever wins the title.

Yet some people are still swayed by MM's garbage. No idea how this guy gets these ******** decisions. And some people actually defend them like they think he won. Such a joke. Johnson should be 0-3 in his last three fights. Instead, he's 2-1.

I picked him since I figured he'd get a ******** decision like he always does. Good for my pick, but bad for MMA in general.

If he continued punching at the end of the third instead of looking at the crowd or if he held him down for more than 15 seconds in the first, then he might have been able to "blast him and beat the brakes off him" tonight. He wouldn't need to wait for a rematch to do it.

Fight was close and could have gone either way IMO.

McCall did nothing with his takedowns in the first and I though MM got the better of him on the feet including landing the best shots. I don't get anyone calling this a robbery.

Yeah I think that at best for Johnson you have to call it a 28-28 fight considering how one-sided the third round was. When the first two rounds are that close then when a guy dominates like that in the third you should really reward it.

Oh, please. We all know who actually won that fight. And it wasn't the guy who got his hand raised again. I can't even imagine you thinking DJ won that fight. What the hell did he do in round 1 to win it? McCall had two takedowns. Landed the better shots. DJ's punch at the buzzer won him the round? Not a chance.

I completely disagree with that. 2nd round, sure. 1st? No. Was the commentary that bad? I watched it on silent since I was on the phone and thought it was a clear win for McCall in the 1st.

Absolutely. I think anyone should know by now I don't give much of a **** about fight picks and I always complain even if I get a pick right when I think a decision was ********. Such garbage. Johnson is the new Leonard Garcia.

Like I said, first was very close and it could have gone either way. People acting like this was a robbery are just being ridiculous.

But I am glad that for once the judges didn't reward these BS takedowns that result is nothing. McCall did nothing with them and Johnson even reversed one and gained top position.

McCall landed a few elbows with them and I think he out-struck Johnson standing. Johnson landed in volume, but McCall hits a LOT harder.

FWIW, CompuStrike has DJ 25/55 for total strikes in the 1st and 13 power shots landed. McCall was 23/57 with 3 power shots landed. I guess it depends on what their definition of "power shots" is.

Draws are quite common in some of the smaller Japanese orgs like Shooto, they use different scoring. I don't remember exactly how it works.

According to @MMAjunkieJohn on the scene, the result was actually a majority decision for DJ 29-28, 29-28, 29-29 (not a split). #UFC

Wow. So apparently not a single judge gave the fight to McCall. Unbelievable.
