That decision was trash. If MM wins the belt, McCall can get a rematch and beat the brakes off him.
Yet some people are still swayed by MM's garbage. No idea how this guy gets these ******** decisions. And some people actually defend them like they think he won. Such a joke. Johnson should be 0-3 in his last three fights. Instead, he's 2-1.

Yeah I think that at best for Johnson you have to call it a 28-28 fight considering how one-sided the third round was. When the first two rounds are that close then when a guy dominates like that in the third you should really reward it.
If he continued punching at the end of the third instead of looking at the crowd or if he held him down for more than 15 seconds in the first, then he might have been able to "blast him and beat the brakes off him" tonight. He wouldn't need to wait for a rematch to do it.

I completely disagree with that. 2nd round, sure. 1st? No. Was the commentary that bad? I watched it on silent since I was on the phone and thought it was a clear win for McCall in the 1st.

McCall landed a few elbows with them and I think he out-struck Johnson standing. Johnson landed in volume, but McCall hits a LOT harder.

FWIW, CompuStrike has DJ 25/55 for total strikes in the 1st and 13 power shots landed. McCall was 23/57 with 3 power shots landed. I guess it depends on what their definition of "power shots" is.
