When you run this system you have to play an almost perfect game to beat a team like Nashville. Problem is we already have two strikes against us icing so many guys in our bottom six who are just not NHL players

I think we're coming around. Tons of chances tonight, not much finish, but looked like the lines had good chemistry. I don't know if the playoffs are coming but it'll be damn close.

We were unlucky as usual. Nashville got so lucky. They aren't even that good IMO. Its their system. Penner is so bad.

It's tough to score on NSH, give em credit they slow the game down to a grind.

All the Kings can really hope for is the 8th spot. Just play 500 Hockey hopefully two teams ahead play awful in March.

Just get in at this point.

Bad coaching by Sutter. There needs to be someone right at the top of the circle with 17 seconds left.

Back to not scoring. System? Anyone? System?

Hopefully we get a new coach. Only way that happens is if DL goes bye bye.

With that game... Our season is pretty much over. Lose tomorrow and there is no hope.

I have never seen this team come back from being down by 2. See it from other teams all the time. So frustrating.

The joys of being a Kings fan.

There is no other pursuit/hobby I have in life that leads me to feel so frequently agitated as watching the Kings this year.

Unfortunately for me, I'm a Kings fan for life even if they went 0-82.

Positives:

- Richards with the all-out play at the end to prevent the empty net. What a gamer.

- Richards/Carter/King was our best line and carried the play at times.

- Didn't get shutout

- 1st rounder in the Carter trade is conditional!

Negatives:

- This is probably not a playoff team. We look like we're beating our heads against the wall with the system we play. There is no question that, save for Penner, this team plays with a ton of effort and energy. Whether because of the system or something else, we simply have no finish. And I don't want to hear that the Preds and Rinne are so elite, etc etc. We have made AHL goalies look like Brodeur this year. I have never seen a team work so hard for so little result.

- Trevor Lewis, Dustin Penner, and my boy Rob Scuderi had BRUTAL games. Holy ****. **** Dustin Penner, I seriously hate that guy now. I cannot believe he was allowed to take multiple shifts at the end of the game.

- Quick is getting fatigued?

Quick's second goal was his fault a bit, he was too aggressive, but then again the man coverage wasn't there, but he should of been more cautious since that happens quite often.

a pretty boring, uncreative offense.

That was a tough game to watch. Nashville just smothered them.

If the Ducks beat the Avs tonight, they'll be just 2 points behind.

If we win tomorrow, all is forgotten, with that said, we really needed to win tonight too.

Again, although we didn't come up with the W, I thought we played a solid game tonight. Onto the next one.

That's basically the main goal now this season: stay ahead of the tards from Anaheim.

I can't wait to hear the empty platitudes and excuses from Sutter and friends after this one.

Ducks make a real coaching change and are approaching the playoffs. Dean hires Murray 2.0 and the Kings are fading fast. Anyone really surprised that Sutter isn't working?

Los Angeles Kings Playoff Chances
Lost to Nashville 1-2, playoff odds down 8.1 to 25.9%
68 points * 28 23-12

I think some of you guys rather us play without a coach.

And a GM.

And a team president.

And...an owner.
