Nah, Gonchar's was fine all game and has been pretty decent this year aside from his crappy few games at the start.

That trip near the end wasn't that bad, IMO. If Gonchar doesn't trip Chara there it was going to be at least a 3 on 1, as the other D-man was not in a great position and the Sens' forwards were all deep in Boston's zone. I'll take the PK over the 3 on 1 against Boston, their PP is complete garbage.

He looked solid all game, he just had to be very good in the third. Made a bunch of big glove saves ala Anderson.

You'd think there was a national crisis going on.

Okay, now for me to get serious, as much as I love Lehner getting the shutout, the win was beyond having great goaltending, which Lehner gave the Sens.

We played with confidence tonight. When Lucic started taking liberties, the Sens just kept on playing. When Thornton kept trying to get a fight, the Sens just kept on playing.

With all of the great chances Ottawa had, this game would have been a blowout againt ANY GOALIE NOT NAMED TIM THOMAS!

Fortunately, Alfie was Alfie, and contributed on ofense without even needing to touch the puck. That was the perfect screen, and that was what it took for Thomas to give one up. Still, I'd say that against any other goalie in the league the Sens would have scored about 5 or 6 goals in that game >.<

Ah, it all makes sense now.

OT: Want to trade me one of your goalies? I'll give you tonnes of forwards.

On topic: Thought I was going to have a heart attack; as previously mentioned, the 3rd felt like 40 minutes rather than 20.

After a ten minute break, we're back to it. Call in the National Guard.

Brian Lee played over 15 minutes and was a +1 for Tampa Bay tonight. Nice.

Absolutely agree. This team just went out to fight. Lucic cheap shots though, sheesh! Did he even get a penalty after doing like three things wrong in a row?

Sportsnet sez:

The Leafs losing a game to the Panthers > Sens shutting out the Cup winners

Yup, but I wont be surprised if the Bruins just go wreckshop on their next opponents and score 7 goals or something ridiculous like that to reaffirm that they are a dominant team O.o

Also, I just watched the reply of the goal. Alfie is so well mannered, bringing Thomas his stick back after it got tied up between his skates

I dunno which of Lee or Gilroy is the better player in a vacuum but after watching Gilroy play I'd say he definitely fits much better with how the Sens are trying to play this year.

How is Toronto choking its way out of the playoffs even news? It happens every year.

Well at least Condra mocked himself on twitter.

Yeah, Lucic got 2 minutes for the slash on Karlsson. No goal, but a good number of chances

Now going back to the 'hockey central panel' to get their reaction on ron wilson.
Completely pathetic. 'the panel' has not mentioned the senators even once yet. No joke.

(ok well this just a replay. I guess the post game is over. They didn't talk about the game i watched for one second.)

They'd probably play better than most of the Leafs roster.
