Now in that thread a pens fan said if both players are giving each other shots its alright for one to cheapshot the other
Two fan bases I have learned not to deal with. Toronto and Pittsburgh. Two of the most irrational fan bases I have ever seen. They have fans who really care and know about the game, but for everyone of those, they have 100 more who are incompetent.

And some of them can have intelligent conversations about a player.. then randomly go 'at least he doesnt play like hartnell'
The reddit thread has turned into a downvote anything I say thread
I used to be addicted to Reddit, but thankfully got out of there. Half of it is people making stuff up and the other half is people who think they are the best people in the world. They always talk about taking action and ****, but then sit behind a computer and talk about it instead of doing it. Not everyone on that site is like that, but the majority of them are.
Not saying it's a bad place to be for discussions, just not my cup of joe.

the /r/askreddit is the best subreddit on the site.. The **** that i see posted there makes me laugh so hard..
My take in the whole Malkin argument is very simple. People always call Hartnell dirty, but when Hartnell does something questionable he will always answer the bell to back it up. He will drop the gloves to defend himself and his actions. Malkin will do dirty stuff, cheap shot a player, and then when that player wants to go he won't drop them. I know he is a superstar in this league, but defend yourself when you act like that. Don't run behind your teammates because you did something stupid and a player wants to take your head off. If you don't want to answer for your actions, it's simple do do it! Claude Giroux will even fight when he feels the need to, and i'm sure the Flyers hold their breath every time he does. And he has become our little superstar.
Interesting story from Kerry Fraser regarding Tim Kerr in this TSN article. Also explains that there are, for all intents and purposes, no exemption to the "distinct kicking motion" rule.

You really see it come out with Malkin when he gets frustrated, and then he gets borderline dangerous. You can also say the same thing about Crosby to an extent, and recently, Hartnell (the MPS kneeing incident).
seems more likely that they will add on a team then take one over to me
If they add on a team, they would actually have to add 2 teams so there isnt the uneven conferences like the proposed realignment..
And is Saskatoon even a big enough market? 260k people doesn't seem like a lot and what happens in 5 years if the novelty of the team being there but sucking and the team begins to lose money?
As much as I don't want expansion, it'd be good for the western conference, to actualy get more teams in the western timezones, and move two of Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, or Nashville East...
