Any Sabres fans in SoCal going to JT Schmid's before the game?

I'm very curious to see how CoHo does in the top 6 position, I'll be watching my first Sabres game tonight when they aren't playing the Vancouver Canucks, I'm not a Hodgson fanboy and I am in favor of the trade.

Just interested in seeing how it all works out.

Hope this doesn't disappoint. Love late start. Kids asleep, wife leaving me alone, grab a beer and watch it in the basement on big screen in HD. No Sylvester for me. I'll watch Anaheim feed. Plus, MSG is never ever in HD on Centre Ice.

Per Vogl at the morning skate:

Vanek - Roy - Pominville
Ennis - Hodgson - Stafford
Gerbe - Leino - Kaleta
Ellis - Boyes - Tropp

I kind of expected the top 6, but I'm surprised to see Leino back at center. I thought they'd move Kaleta to the 4th line with Boyes centering Gerbe and Leino on the 3rd. I'm kind of intrigued to see the cycling that 3rd line is capable of.

3-2 Buffalo. Cody with an assist, Vanek with the winner

Plus, with the Sabres, it's easy to just hit the mute button and fall asleep if they lose the game in the first period.

It probably won't happen, but I could see Leino pputting in some good work on a "pest" line. The best game I've seen him play lately (and maybe this whole year) was the blowout against Boston, when the B's were too busy chasing him around to actually play hockey.

A line of Gerbe-Leino-Kaleta might be a real pain to play against.

Hopefully I can catch some of the game after work. I'm anxious to see how CoHo does as a Sabre.

Is Leino bringing some friends in the Finnish Border Patrol to keep him safe once Gerbe and Kaleta getting into full pest mode? He's going to need some snipers on overwatch with those two on his wings.

Yeah the nickname probably isn't as relevant to Buffalo as it is to Vancouver, but it looks like its gonna stick

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but what was the point of flying Cody out to Buffalo? I mean that video of him touring the facilities was nice and all but whats the point? Why didn't he just meet the team in Anaheim and come back to Buffalo when the west coast trip is over. I would be exhausted if someone made me fly from across the whole continent and then back in such a short amount of time.

You forget Chain. "The pest" is Leino's natural role on a hockey team.
