Mentors???

Hi everybody, My name is Johnny and i've been reading this board for about a year now and have finally signed up... anyways my question is does perezhogin have any NHL experienced metors on his team in Russia to sort of help him realize what he need to do to get in to the NHL. This also applies to all of our prospects in Europe. At least this way all those NHL players actually have a use over there.

Maxim Sushinsky and Oleg Tverdovsky will undoubtedly show him the virtues of how to play defensively.

By the way HockeyDB is way off concerning Alex's vitals. 5'9, 170lbs? No way!

On another note, i found the comment about Tverdovski showing the virtues of defensive play extremely funny. As for being a "mentor", no doubt he knows what it takes to go into the nhl, there i'll agree.

sushinsky was an unpopular player in minny who was known to shoot at his goalie's head in practise.

Tverdovsky has all the tolls but no toolbox for the NHL

They both have NHL experience but I dont know how much their advice is worth

Welcome to the boards Johnny, glad you finally signed up.

As for Perezhogin, I can't say I know all the players on Omsk, but I do know that Perezhogin is the 2nd youngest player on the team, next to another forward Курьянов Антон, who is 20 or so days younger or have played more then 1 game.

As for the rest of our Euro prospects, I'll make comments off the top of my head.

Grabovsky- is one of the youngest players on the team at 20.

Korneev now plays for an NHL like team with tons of quality NHLers like Kovalev, Kovalchuk, Salei, Bykov, Brathwaite, and several others.

Yemelin- is the youngest player on the team, but Lada over has a number of youg players. Most of the defense are under 26. On of them is Hab prosect Krunchinin.

Korpikari- has Tenkrat, Niinimaa, Nylander, plus Hab prospects Mikkola and Ujcik.

Eneqvsit/Heino-Lindberg I don't think there are too many vets on the team, although I'd have to look that up to be certain.

yeah but is jagr really the kind of guy who will take anybody under his wing? My impression of him was always that he like to keep to himself.
