20 Games Left - Predict Our Success

Bold the teams you think we'll beat. I'm putting (H) next to the teams we're playing at home.

All of it will be Paul Martin's fault.

And Shero's for not trading Martin for a winger.

You have to think the brass give Fleury some rest down the stretch so you'd have to see how many games BJ or Thiessen will be starting in back to backs etc. or versus non-playoff teams as more teams bow out.

Well any game that Brent Johnson is in net, you can pencil me in for a loss. Other than that I think well have success in the vast majority of games for the remainder of the season. Given that Shero didnt make a move for a backup goalie, I say our chance at winning the division and our chance at home ice is shot. Even with all that said, I think we can still win the cup. Geno has proven himself to be the best player in the game and if that lines production continues in the playoffs I dont know who can stop them, but Fleury will still have to be at his best.

Hopefully Thiessen he looked good in the Columbus game.

I will say 13-6-1. I really like that our last 4 games are against the top teams in the east. Perfect way to get them ready for playoff hockey.

It's crazy to predict this far in advance because you run into hot teams, cold teams, injured teams and maybe Sid will be back at some point to give the Pens a boost. The one stretch I am holding my breath for is when they go play the Rangers, Devils and Flyers St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

It's a hard schedule...after the next 3 games it’s 16 of 17 against Eastern Conference rivals.

I'll predict 11-8-2 with lots of OT games which will put the season record at 47-29-7 and 101 points.

Oh awesome I just found out I can't add to 20. Good thing I don't work in a profession with numbers.

Hadn't noticed it, but that's a good point.

I have no idea how to predict this, because this team is good enough that I never expect them to lose. I know they will lose games, but on a game by game basis, I just don't ever expect a loss.

I won't guess individual games but I do think they will break 100+ points and finish #4 in the conference. I also do not think Crosby will return and the Pens will wind up playing either Philly or Ottawa in the first round.

Well, some of you guys are no fun (and some can't take instructions properly) lol

No **** it's nearly impossible to guess our wins and losses... that's the point. To take your guesses and then at the end of the season, revisit the thread and see who was the closest.

But noooooooooooo, some of you act like your life depends on guessing correctly

Agree with the first part. After that I'd say Crosby will return but get bounced out again and we'll play new jersey, which I'd be nervous about.

Best case scenario is they finish 6th and play Florida or Washington in the 1st round. 8th seed quality opponent without having to have a #1 seed. Yes please.
