The new 300s don't use letters for rows, they use numbers.

When you go to the game on Ticketmaster, there's an option to put in a promo code towards the bottom I believe.

Does anyone know what is going on with current section 326 next year? Which if it was on the 2012 virtual chart it would be section 216, but its not. When you click on section 217 and look over there are only 3 rows of seating in 216 (current 326) with large gaps in between. Just asking because I have tickets in section 326 for tomorrow..

I don't think anyone knows but the best guess I'd have is that it will be another press section like the current 327 is now. There won't be press rows in the middle of the crowd on the north and south side of the building like there are now so they gotta put those people somewhere.

I got the promo code in a text from the Rangers yesterday, it was NYRSMS. I doubt there's anything left from it since it's a day old already but you can check just to make sure.

Most of 326 is being claimed to extend the press area. Maybe half a dozen seats on each row will be left

no more ticket exchange for next season just received this email

Dear Steven,

We are excited to let you know that Madison Square Garden has entered into a new partnership with TicketsNow as the new Official Fan Marketplace of the New York Rangers, replacing TicketExchange beginning in the 12-13 season. This will affect the online management of your Rangers season subscription and we will be forwarding all the information you will need to know to make this transition seamless and easy for you.

In the meantime, until 12-13 you can continue to use the current online resale service Rangers TicketExchange via My Rangers Account Manager as you always have, finding the same seamless convenience, security, and guaranteed tickets to which you are accustomed.

Sincerely,

Howard Jacobs
Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales
MSG Sports

I tried it before and i actually found 2 in sec 327? for like 144 each. I turned it down though considering I'm a 20 year old in college. Makes it almost impossible to go to a playoff game, meanwhile my friends who are Devil fans have been able to go to both home games so far for about $100 in total

Sounds like it's just being replaced with a TicketsNow version of the TicketExchange. Surprised they're moving away from a Ticketmaster run program though.

Ticketsnow is owned by Ticketmaster. TIcketmaster is just rebranding their secondary marketplace away from their primary sales, probably for liability issues

Hard to say. The interface will be different, but it should work pretty much the same. The question is what are the fees going to be. Right now the marketplace takes 22% of the transaction (your ticket gets posted at 117% of your price, and you get 95% of that price as an account credit). Wouldn't be surprised if they try to scratch out an extra 1% or two

As a STH, I suspect my fees will not rise very much, if at all, and I will have no need to use Stubhub for resales below face?

http://www.ticketmaster.ca/ticketsnow

" However, for events that aren't in high demand, tickets can often end up being offered below their original face value, resulting in great deals for consumers who are bargain hunting".

It was explained to me that it will work more like Stubhub with slightly lower fees. The STH will be able to sell for any price not like before. The Knicks and Rangers have been looking at this for over a year and hope to get more of a secondary market share. The market in New York alone is in the millions and stubhub still gets the majority of the sales which MSG would like to change(no surprise) as it is always nice to sell your own ticket twice.
