That game was one of the best games in a long long time. So much better then any thing I have seen in the NHL in years. The call against SKA was bs but that's what you get for letting Dynamo come back like that.
It was there for hours though it was "unavailable". Probably had to cut out compromising camera angles
I don't know what ''compromising camera angles'' you are talking about but as far as I could judge, there was a clear movement of knee towards the goal and the puck bounced from the knee and went into the net, i didn't see any touch with a stick to it and even if that touch was made, you can clearly see that the puck's trajectory didn't change at all... But I still don't think Mortensson ever touched that puck with his stick, if you look at the camera in front of the net, you can't see the puck touching the stick and it's the best angle out there that we've got. Maybe the camera above goal could help but I highly doubt that as, IMHO, these cameras in the net give the best view on this situation. As I said, even if he touched the puck with his stick, it probably barely touched to it at all as it clearly flew into the net from his knee.
And yeah, I'm with vorky in that the KHL referees are often blamed too much. People remember that 5 minute 5 on 3, yeah it sucked but afaik it didn't break the game (could've but didn't) and the only game in these play-offs I believe refs might've made their own was Barys last home game vs Magnitka... Yeah it's sad but it's just one game...
And in any case, if you waste 3-0 lead at home in play-offs, then during the OT elbow an opponent in the face and don't receive your deserved 2+2 (one really bad call in this game), you shouldn't deserve some crappy knee-goal where puck maybe, just maybe, barely touched the stick at some point...
It was a great game and people will keep talking about this decision but frankly speaking, seeing all the evidence, I must say SKA got what they deserved...
Hey, I was joking. But anyway, the more I watch the replays, the more I seem to think that puck hit his upper-thigh (?) before he got a chance to kick it with lower part of the leg, and by "kick it" I mean that he simply tried to stop the puck. It feels like he didn't mean to score with that movement, but I'm fine either way with this call whether it's right or not. It's a great start to the series.

Even if we forget about the disallowed goal in OT, there were still many more ref question marks. Here's a quote from an interview with Weisfeld:"Мне непонятно, как Мосалев получил 2 минуты вместо 4 за игру высоко поднятой клюшкой. Наверное, надо обратиться за комментариями к руководителю судейского департамента КХЛ Александру Полякову. Если была опасная игра высоко поднятой клюшкой с нанесением травмы, то это минимум четыре минуты должно было быть. [...] Больше всего меня возмутил другой момент. Как судьи не заметили удар Макарова локтем в лицо соперника и оставили это нарушение без наказания. Что касается удаления Семенова до конца матча, то у арбитров было лишь формальное право таким образом наказать игрока питерцев." (rough translation: Mosalev shoud've got 2+2 instead of 2 for a high stick, Semyonov's major was very very questionable, Makarov's elbow in OT was a clear 5+20 that zebras missed).
From Medvedev' interview about LEV and SLOVAN in KHL:
''Теперь на всех матчах плей-офф до конца этого сезона судье на системе "видеогол" будет помогать представитель СДК. Так мы повысим объективность.''
Somehow that reminded me of the Soviet times when KGB agents travelled with teams to ensure that the Soviet sportsmen ''behave according to Soviet values''... Now we'll have this mythical SDK person who'll sit with the video goal referee and will ensure that ''more objective decisions'' are being made about allowing or disallowing goals... I just wonder whether this SDK will increase objectivity when SKA scores another questionable goal...

It's not a question of soviet or non-soviet. Powerful people everywhere try to force things in their favor... And the funny thing is that they don't even have to give real orders, they just have to say something like "let's hope that.." or "it would be nice if..". There's always somebody ho wants to engrace them and fulfill their wishes.
I didn't mean it like that, it's just the first thing that came into my mind, a fat and angry looking guy in a suit sitting behind the video referee and ensuring ''objectivity''
I don't know if that SDK is Medvedev controlled but seeing as their opinion about the SKA-Dynamo game was the same as expressed by SKA...
Interesting first 3rd. Nice move from Neprayev. Rybin's play-off-beard is fabulous. Anisin is fast as hell but the penalty shot was awful.
Very nice curl and drag move by Neprayey, he's done that a few times this playoff. Yes Anisin looked good except for the PS, usually fake to the forehand is his bread and butter!
ooooh softy by Ezhov... That can't happen with 2 min left in a tie game. This is no surprise, goalkeeping is Achilles heel. SKA just bullied other teams with such offense but Dynamo seems to be smothering SKA with excellent defense.
Well, he's doing his best as he made Rybin's goal all by himself, his teammates should try a little bit harder.
watched the match, paid particular attention to Tarasenko, he gave 1000% out there, every time his line is on the ice they get a scoring chance
im all for Dynamo on this one though, i think they deserve to win, SKA just getting frustrated too much, coach losing it. You can see the pressure from them, think if they got better team, more well know names in that squad they own the place. I wonder how many points Afinogenov would put up if playing 12 mins per game. Tarasenko has no business on that team. I am sure all on his mind now is the cup. Would be nice at his age before heading to NHL.
You could say so, but with time, I think everyone, gets sick of his arrogant whining.
This. Well said.
Все видели, что тот гол, который мы забили, был чистый. Вообще чистый! Если бы мы выиграли первый матч, то сегодня бы спокойно победили. А так на ребят давил психологический пресс", - сказал наставник в эфире телеканала "Россия 2
You dont want a coach like for your team. I am sure the team moved on and the психологический пресс was created by his non stop whining.

Rziha is the best coach for SKA from the ones that are currently in the league. Bykov & Zakharkin may do as well, but I don't see a reason to fire the Czech. 0:2 is bad, but not catastrophic.
