How many of you have actually seen Komisarek play for more then a handful of games this year?

Grass always looks greener on the other side

No, komisarek's defence is as bad as kaberle's now and Kaberle scores way more pts.

No way would I even consider this.

Komisarek is a regular healthy scratch cause he sucks.

He never recovered from that fight with Lucic and the injuries it did to him (both his shoulder and his confidence.)

Kaberle is a 40-50 point dman if he had someone with a shot. Never would anyone with a brain make that trade.

No.

Komisarek is not the player he was in 07-08. I miss his hits though. But we have Emelin now.

God NO!!!! I liked Komisarek when he was a Hab but I also feel his play was elevated because he played with Markov...my favorite Komisarek play was when he scored an overtime goal on a break away against Toronto...golden. But NO way in hell do I want Komisarek back. I believe that Kaberle has more talent and ability...he really isn't that bad...

I'd take Komisarek & Tor 1 vs Kaberle & Mtl 2.

Then if Komi still suck we ship him in Hamilton or wait to pack him back with Markov.

Not sure if I'm more surprised or ashamed that Komisarek got any votes at all.

Stats can be used to say whatever...to someone who won't or can't understand and interpret them properly but will make reckless inferences from them. And there's also misinterpreting correlation vs. causation. However, this does not mean stats are illegitimate, but rather that people need to educate themselves a bit before spouting off stuff.

In this case, for the teams' respective records under Kaberle, there could be other confounding variables affecting the teams, such as coaching quality, injuries, quality of players, etc.

NO!!!

Komisarek is awful....he can't even be a regular in the Leafs lineup....then he's certainly not going to be any help to the Habs. His contract is worse than Kaberle's and Komisarek doesn't offer ANY of the offence that Kaberle offers.

Kaberle is the better hockey player and we don't need a piece of crap like Komisarek taking icetime from Emelin or Diaz.

Besides...Komisarek didn't want to be a Hab....otherwise he wouldn't have left Montreal for the sake of $500.000, he would have taken a discount to stay in Montreal....he didn't...its his loss!! He can sit in the Leafs pressbox for the rest of his career as far as I'm concerned.

No way.

Kaberle has gotten an unfair rap so far this year. He's not THAT bad. Overpaid for sure, but not by a whole lot. He's still an NHL caliber defenseman.

The same can't be said for Komisarek who has regressed so much to the point where it's debatable if he's even an NHL defenseman anymore.

If someone had a gun to my head and said I had to take Komisarek, I'd ask to take Wade Redden first.

Seriously.

Carolina's record got better because Muller took over as coach around the same time Kaberle got traded and their team has improved, meanwhile Cunneyworth took over recently after we got Kaberle and we've seen the job he's done with our team.

Ummm... We'd like to trade him back for Komi does that tell you how he is doing.

And for folks who want to keep Kaberle riddle me this:

Do we need a physical Dman on this team or another SOFT player. We will have Markov, Diaz, Subban and even Emelin ( if he ever gets a chance) to play on the PP, why do we need a guy who has NO shot anyway!

Komi brings it very night, of course he has some difficiences, but he played his best hockey HERE.

Why would anyone want to keep Kaberle who brings NOTHING to the team and in fact is a HUGE liability in almost every situation. Komi was a good PK man.

As for salary , the difference is $250,000 per year for 2 years!

NO BRIANER FOLKS: Put aside your emotions

Komi for Kaberle and if a 5th round pick was needed to complete the deal I would do it in a heartbeat!!

Emelin-Markov
Subban-Georges
Komi- UFA
Diaz

Bye bye Webwe and of course Campoli. You add TInoridi and Beauleau in two years and now you have a pretty decent D.

Absolutely the opposite.... Especially in the last few games.... Kaberle 5 on 5 is as painful as root canal... Come one just look how he got schooled 1:1 and didn't even look behind him on that goal against Florida that killed our momentum!!!

I don't think either is good for the team, but Kaberle is more likely to have trade value at next year's deadline.

What we need is the Komisarek is the 2007-08. Just as we need the Roman Hamrlik of 2008-09, or the Sourray of 2006-07... Those guys are not coming back.

ETA: The argument that we do not want MK because he is a "traitor" is dim. He was a UFA and he went for the most money and the change of scenery. It is his right. I'm 28 and I had 3 job offers recently... I went for the change of scenery and the money. It is something people do, don't cry about it.

Have you watched him play?? Doesn't seem like it.

For those who think Kaberle will have value at the trade deadline NEXT year, I wouldn't hold my breath. My guess is he will be playing in Europe, if anywhere.

He's good buddies with Pleks and look what happened to Pleks +/- since Kaberle joined the team

In an heartbeat!! Kaberle is non chalent, lazzy and soft as butter, he is the one I rely the most on to lose games this year.. That guy is a pure loser, lets keep playing him alot this year, next year in the ECHL unless we tank again..

Komisarek isnt a lost case, I think he still has some good hockey left, just play him with Markov next year..
