Which number would you wear?

If you played for the coyotes which number would you wear and why?

Id wear 15. Guys like zigomanis, lombardi and gordon have all my respect and id be honored to carry on the number.

(Id never touch 19. That should be retired the day Doan retires.)

39

it's the number i wore when I scored my first goal as a kid. worn it ever since.

If I had to choose a number based on a former member of the franchise I would wear 4 in honor of Sjoberg who is likely the franchises all time best blueliner (OEL may prove me wrong).

I'd actually like to institute a rule as a sidenote. No player should wear a higher number than that of the goalies. I hate seeing 89's and 91's (well not anymore) out there.

I feel obliged to say "69....choose the number 69. It'll be hilarious!"

But I'd probably go with 17, lucky but not cliche lucky like 7.

I've always worn 10 or 16 playing sports so either would do.

What if Burke is your goalie?

17 or 27

I've always liked the double-nickle or a lone 5 for defensemen.

Frankly, given the opportunity, I'd happily wear whatever number the equip. mgr. handed me.

Number 20. The number was just handed to me by a former coach once and I've worn it ever since.

numbers less than 40 for me. anything higher makes it about the individual and not the team for me.

Did you see it yet? It was funny.

Question: Has anyone wore 99 or 66 after Gretz/Mario??

99 was retired by the league. nobody can wear it.

i believe someone wore 66 once afterwards. it's unofficially retired. wearing it would be in poor taste.

Seems like a good number for a shift disturber.

51. If that's "too high," 24. No real reason.

Weird idea for a thread. What brought it on, if I might ask?

I have 24 on the back of my custom jerseys, but Chipchura currently has that number, so I'd go with ahhh.. .. waiting until Chipchura leaves the team.

My most success came when I wore #20. I've always loved that number. If I had to choose I would take 20 or 9 with a full jersey tuck I love jersey tucks.

Depending on wether I was bounced from forward to defense. I would wear #48/8(really liked Briere when I was younger). Or #18 on D is where I mostly played.

Same. Bonus to be able to screw with superstitious people.

#74, I just like the number, no rhyme or reason to it.

Yes, I thought it was surprisingly good, not as stupid as so many movies these days. Lots of good lines.

I really liked "Glatt...WTF? Hockey!". Yesterday I was teaching and one of he kids was just sitting there with that same goofy look on his face, totally zoned out and not doing his work. I sooooooo wanted to say it...."(kid's name)...WTF? French!". But I kept it in.

It's been my address three times and I was a big fan of Numminen. I generally play defense in sports so he'd be the one I'd try to emulate.

Ive always worn the number 32. Hockey and lacrosse. Dale Hunter is the reason. Grew up a caps fan and love the heart he showed. Shure he went over the line sometimes, but some one with his size and had limited talent, he was a pit bull.
