He looked great. He was poised, energetic, always involved in the play, playing a physical game (fighting for the puck in the corners, along the sidewall, in front of the net. He played well positionally. Good on the forecheck and got back to help out on defence. Hitch had him on really short shifts, so he never stopped skating. He fought for position, holding his own against much bigger players.

He looks like the real deal, and well able to play at a high level in The NHL. If he was able to show that and be that effective in his first game after only one practise, think of how he'll play in this year's playoffs, after playing 10 games in Hitch's system, and being comfortable in it. He should be one of The Blues' "go-to players" by then.

Jaden does not have an attitude, he was raised right. He is a fine young man.

Awesome for him to get a goal in his NHL debut. Nice to see the Blues finally have a player who can put the puck away in those goal-mouth scrambles.

He doesn't think at all, eh? How did he get to university, then? EVERYONE has an attitude. It's how you assess and react to things in life. The question is whether or not someone has a good or bad attitude.

Jaden certainly has proven he has a positive attitude. Look at what a success he's made of himself, having the disadvantage of small size, and having fought through the mental strain of a family tragedy.

Robb, you remind me so much of my 4th grade English teacher here.

Me: Oh teacher...Can I go to the bathroom?

Teacher: I don't know...Can you?

Me: I mean teacher...May I go to the bathroom?

Teacher: Sure, go ahead.

It's well documented how good of a kid he is...so he's right. There's a reason he was the captain for Team Canada.

Before either dany or a mod erased the post, dany wrote an allegation that many people called him Jaden "Don't you know who I am?" Schwartz.

Being named as Canada's captain and the reports of advice he gave to Dumba when he was cut and various other writings are obviously on the other side of the balance. However, even if we pretend that claim is accurate, so what?

In my experience, most people, especially in places for children (read: college), do not earn their reputations. Reputations given to people of any level of celebrity are, with great regularity, more about the people who ascribe those given the reputations.
Plus, full props to Jaden for using every bit of attention he got to help his sister. People without character tend to misunderstand things like that.

But let's go to the extreme and pretend that not only is the claimed reputation accurate, the reputation, itself, is also true. So what? As long as they work like a professionals instead of entitled children, give me a whole team of arrogant guys with chips on their shoulders.

Jaden will have a chance to earn top nine minutes even when everyone is healthy with his play over the next handfull of games.

Tonight, Schwartz's parents will be in Anaheim to watch their son play for the first time in the NHL.

This was going around on twitter this morning:

Schwartz became the first teenager to score a goal in each of his first 2 NHL games since Eric Lindros.

Hehe, I knew that nowdays can does pretty much substitute may, but I didn't know that not all people like it... Btw in Russian it's pretty much the same. In that situation I can use могу (can) or можно (may). The latter would be more appropriate, but who cares... It's to the topic of how much are English and Russian different...
