We can NEVER win 4 in a row, it's the curse.. seriously.

Embarrassing loss, better bounce back on saturday. Jets scored on everything.. it was that kind of night..

Fun fact (or not so much): we still haven't played 1 game this season with a full healthy line-up

Just a good ol' fashion ass whooping. Happens to every team a couple times a year. No big deal boys, shake it off and win the next couple. We still own the division.

Okay, just read the game summary a little while ago...so how the hell did the Jets get a 5-on-1?!?!?!?!? Seriously, someone explain this to me.

Not that it mattered. I checked the score last night and it was already 6-0 with 6 minutes or so to go...I knew no point in checking the final score until it was convenient for me as nothing would turn around.

Just as I was getting confident this team might actually have a chance to win a playoff round they bring me back to reality with a hard slap to the face and a bucket of ice cold water over the head.

The future still looks good, though...just have to be patient.

Oh, and I know it was a bad loss, but I still expect better behavior from our posters here, even if the trolls come out. Don't get caught up in the net when the mods come trawling.

Terrible loss. But - we're not licked yet.

Loved Guds' hit on Wheeler - and agree with someone a page back that said Ellerby looked good.

I'd rather have a stinker like this now, than in April in the final stretch.

Gotta move on, we're still in first, and we can still make the playoffs.

Take this arse whooping and use it to motivate the team!!

I would actually prefer to see the Cats & Jets make the playoffs, and especially the Jets over the Leafs. So I'll take this loss for those reasons.

Move on boys.... focus on the next one! Bounceback cats baby!

**** OFF! What a terrible all around game. I just watched it until it was 3-0. Glad I didnt watch the rest. The 1st one was already more than enough and I knew that Pavelec would get a shutout...
Why cant we get a ****ing win in those crucial games?!?!?!?!

And Ellerby..what a terrible giveaway..But I guess I have missed Jovos giveaways..

That was a joke.

We have a lot of Altanta people on the Jets boards so that kind of comment is just a running joke between us regarding the southern hockey market.

As for trolls, in reading this thread I didn't really see any posts saying anything negative about the Panthers.

I think more credit should be given to Kane for his takeaway on Ellerby, then blaming Ellerby for a bad play. First off, Ellerby wasn't looking where he was passing - he was looking up the boards and at the last second looked across the ice to pass - and secondly, the pass was off the ice and at knee-level when Kane battered it down. Ellerby didnt just hand the puck over to him, like Schenn's disaster recently, but Kane just made a really great play.

Regardless, is discouraging to see a loss of 7 so close to the playoffs. Regroup quickly boys!

The problem with this team is that we usually dont turn around after a game like this and come up with a big win.

This weekend is so tough. Nashville is ****en crazy this year and Ottawa ***** slaps us every single time we play them.

I could very easily see us going on a 4-5 game losing streak after last night. After the weekend we have to play Philly and Pitts away.

I think this team responds pretty well to losses like this. Have we gone on a 5 game losing streak at all this season? I think we've had maybe one 4 game losing streak. Look at the 6 points every 5 games thread. We're consistently at the top of the division at the end of each set. You don't get there with frequent 4-5 losing streaks.

Agreed, but look at the stretch we're facing:

Nashville?*I can't remember the last time we beat them.

Ottawa? See Nashville

Philly and Pittsburgh? Never play particularly well in either of those buildings. Maybe we can squeak out a win in Philly, but that still leaves us at 1-4. With the small amount of games left, we can't afford to lose more than 2 in a row. 12 wins get's us comfortable in the playoffs IMO, but it's not going to be easy at all. Last night's game would have put us in a great position, 6 points up on the Jets and 5 on the Caps with games in hand. Now it's 2 and 3 only. That's basically a 1 or 2 game swing.

We are FAAAAAAAAR from a sure thing in making the playoffs this season. Last night's effort was ****en pathetic in easily the most important game of the season. We have no heart and no balls when it comes to big games. We just don't show up. I think we've won one big game (against WAS) earlier this season. Other than that, we just don't show. We don't even show up. As soon as Flash hit the post on the breakaway last night I knew we were done.

The next 4 games are going to be tough, I'll agree. None of them outclass by so much that we can't get some wins.

I think we should at least win 2 out of the 4.

We really need to try to win 3 or 4 though. Which is probably not possible.

It could be possible. Anything is possible. We do well against good teams, but we stink when the game counts for something. Hopefully this team can bounce back from last night and win tomorrow to make up for the embarrassment. I hope they can surprise people and do some damage and finally put a little leeway between us and Wash/Winn.

Well the saying is "You win some you lose some" i'm not worried about last nights loss, I mean I wish we wouldn't have given up 7 but still, if we keep winning then i'm fine with a couple of losses here and there.

That's because you can't see what mods have deleted.
