Already off to a great start for me to continue my hatred of our bullpen.

James Russell is still awesome. Figures the guy who's unhittable by lefties wouldn't get a shot today.

But I'm actually excited for midseason. Rizzo and Jackson, maybe Vitters and McNutt, too.
And of course, Mr. Castro.

What was Daniel Hudson traded for again? How does Kenny Williams still have a job?

To be fair, he looked meh in the few shots he had with the sox and the NL west is a far cry from the AL.
Still, Kenny's been one of the worst GM's in baseball since 2006

So I'm a little bummed about the Cubs game today and Thursday, but not totally discouraged, just disappointed. This is my first year as a season ticket holder. A buddy and I split two seats, and have been totally stoked about it. We have realistic expectations about this season, and next season frankly, but we have some faith in the new ownership and management that they will do the rebuilding right, and figure this was a fortunate time for our names to come up on the list --- get in on the ground floor and enjoy the ride.
The good thing about the last two games is that a lot of the mistakes we saw last season, and thought we would see this season, haven't really happened yet. Defense has been good. Starting pitching has been excellent. Baserunning has been pretty good for the most part, and our batting has been fine.
The last two games were lost by the bullpen, and by the same two players. While expectations are a bit low for this season, knowing that it is already going to be a long year is why it's really disappointing to lose two games like this that you should be able to finish. I'd rather the Cubs be 2-0 on the way to a 70 win season, than be in a position to be 2-0 and end up 0-2 on the way to a 70 win season, if you get my drift. Hate seeing games like this slip away when other parts of the team are showing signs of buying into the new Manager and playing better fundamental baseball.
It's a small sample set, sure, but it would have been great to see if come out and close these two games. Oh well, I'll be back out there Tuesday. Hopefully I get to hear "Go Cubs Go" soon...

If it wasn't for the massive hurricane of career years guys had in 2005, Kenny would have went long ago.

Lucas Harrell with seven shutout innings today. Designated for assignment by Williams and Guillen.

Alex Rios with the go ahead home run in the 9th? Wow. Let's see if the Sox can hold on.

Ne won't be anything special. Watched him when he was in the minors. I'd be shocked, although his chances of succeeding in the NL are much better. Decent #5 guy.
Congrats to Robin Ventura on his first win as a manager!

Jackson won't play until June for arbitration reasons as well as them wanting to see some plate discipline.

Is the MLBN on DTV unbelievably choppy for anyone else? No other channels are like that... Just this one.

Bulls just can't hit a shot and aren't playing defense. It's like they're waiting around hoping DRose takes the game over. At least Deng has showed up to play.

Not to mention it's the Knicks. My hatred for the Knicks burns with the fire of a thousand suns.

What a terrible game by Bulls ,, And Rose refusal to pass the ball to anyone else and continue to try to dribble his way thru all the Knicks and throw up terrible shots
And what a BS flagarant call

noah gets dicked on every time he has to matchup against a real center.
Rose looked rusty and killed us with those two missed free throws at the end. Apparently, he forgot he left memphis years ago.

What a pleasant surprise he's been this season from spring until now. Hope he can sustain it. Hopefully he can get this last out.
Castro picking up where he left off last year with senseless errors.
Annnnd just like that the error leads to a two-run bomb.

For Edwin Jackson
Good #3 who went 11-9 with 3.66 ERA in 30 starts as a member of White Sox
Of course he was dumped and not resigned ,, Went on to help the Cards win WS
Yes Williams should be fired but the trade wasn't bad ,, The Sox not re-signign Jackson longterm makes it look bad
