Nice win by the sox today. Peavy pitched well and ramirez and viciedo both made real good defensive plays. Dunn still looks lost at the plate and had a nice little golden sombrero today.
I do, too, but Santiago and/or Reed probably would've gotten a look anyway what with Santos on paternity leave right now. Respect that guy to the six digits.
Not too worried about Dunn. Yeah, he had 4 Ks, but a few were decent at bats. One should've been a walk, looked at ball 4 down and was called out. Think I read he saw 30 pitches, so he's fouling pitches away and getting deep into counts, which is good to see.
They got some timely hitting and great D, and Peavy was outstanding, minus the 1 mistake to Young.

he's batting just over 200 on the year. He had long at bats last year too but at the end of the day, he can't protect the plate worth **** and he swings and misses way too much.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know we're only 6 games into the season and I'd be willing to give dunn WAAAAAAY more leeway if he didn't have the worst season ever last year.
I have given up on Dunn ,, Sorry but he is just terrible
Never seen a DH this horrendous in AL
I haven't, we have seen how NL players struggle their first year as a DH, of by mid season his numbers match last years then I would agree but I think he can turn it around and be a productive bat, not the same bat he once was but a good one.
The Whitesox have impressed me, I went into the year expecting a last place finish so to see them over .500 even early on is a welcome sight.
Rizzo now has 5 home runs through 9 games in Iowa.
Yea he does. Can't wait to see him come up mid season. LaHair has been mashing it this year so far as well. Best possible outcome for the Cubs is if BOTH these guys bats light up for the first part of the year.
