The NBA having a shortened season has featured a lot of weird games. There have been plenty of closely-contested games that should have never been close wins or losses. Rose barely got any rest with Watson out with a sprained ankle. It's just a positive sign that you can get no rest for your MVP, have one of your better shooting guards out, and have an off night, but you'll still win.

Hey the Bucks did beat the amazing and unstoppable Miami Heat twice this season. Don't sleep on em!

Such a sick shot by Rose.

Any team can surprise you in a game, the Lakers lost to the Wizards and Rose was having a bad night but will hit the game winning shot.

28-11-8 before that shot wasn't a bad night

But ya, he wasn't shooting well.

Yeah, he was like 6-18 from the field sometime during the 4th they said. He hit it when it mattered most though.

Illinois loses, effectively ending Bruce Weber's tenure. Didn't shoot a single FT in the game

So long Bruce. Going to be interesting to see who they hire. I know Shaka Smart is the hot name but not sure how well his system will work in the Big 10.

Weber, can't believe he was ever liked by people. Dude owes Bill Self his last couple years salary IMO.

Fire have signed 32 year old defender Arne Friedrich, staple of the German national team. He has injury concerns, but on a team as deep as ours at CB he's exactly the type of risk worth taking.

when he plays like he can and did, he will be the best CB in the MLS. His back is done and the Fire offered him a nice 1 year deal.

He was a part of the german national team for a long time but after the 2010 world cup, he was done

The only good team is Germany, Italy has been bad since winning the cup, England is the most overrated team every year and Russian isn't as good as they where last time.

The MLS needs to be able to sign a top player in his prime. All of the stars from Europe they have brought in are no longer top players. If the MLS wants to start to compete as a league they need top talent.

That isn't an expectation MLS fans should have.

That's how it goes for 3 point shooters. Sometimes you make a bunch in a row, sometimes...

I wonder why Thibs left him in, though.

Except if he is our 3pt specialist why is he 4th on the team in 3pt%. He is terrible, if your a one trick pony and he is that, he can't defend, can't pass, can't create his own scoring chances, you'd better be great at it and he isn't.

I expect it.
It's all about Spain and Germany

Russia is not that good
England has all the chances, but they've had some problems with CB John Terry. Their coach stepped down and now they don't have one. If they get Redknapp, they will be #3 on my list
Italy is always among the contenders. They can win it aswell

Italy is done with it's "national team rebuild". England is not overrated, they just beat themself every time. Now the finally have a goalie that is worth his spot in Hart.

MLS is not attractiv and no player in his prime will consider to sign outside of europe. Europe is the money and USA isn't even close

However you want to put it England won't amount to anything especially since they don't even have a manager right now and the team is too busy fighting with themselves and has no leadership at all.

Italy might be done with the rebuild but doesn't have the talent to compete.

Russia is not the same team that made that shock run in 2008.

Germany who is other then Spain the most talented team in Europe and maybe the world right now should have no problem getting out of this group.

Loved watching Germany in the World Cup. Wanted to get my kid a Germany jersey but the ones they sell here are too big for him.

Acquiring top young talent with question marks doesn't make sense for MLS financially. Acquiring the top established mid twenty talent doesn't make sense for all but a handful of clubs worldwide financially.

It's a league that is going to rely on South American talent, names that still have something left in the tank, and solid if unspectacular American talent.

It's a league that get's better and deeper every single year despite adding teams.
