Who's playing on Richards right wing? Hagelin, Dubinsky or Prust? I'd love to have the option of slotting Wols... a 3rd round pick in to that second line when Cally's out.
Rupp, Scott, Prust, Feds, Mitchell and Boyle all in the same line up is a bit too gritty for my liking.
Haha there actually isn't. I would probably be blacked out and unable to watch if I wasn't going to the game. There's no rhyme or reason why on the surface for it, but I think it's the 4th or 5th time it has happened this year. Pretty unbelievable for 2012 eh
edit: there's a womens college basketball game on. Duh!
OK, so it sounds like basically its an internetz thingy. Whatever, I have been a fan for 38 years, been going to games since the mid 80s, I will call them what I choose, it is obvious I didn't mean it in a bad way.
Sure, but I don't understand why a Rangers fan would them the "Rags".
Not trying to jump on you, but you haven't noticed of all the years you've been a fan that it's commonly used among rival fans?
It's like a Mets fan calling them the "Mutts" or a Red Sox fan calling them the "Red Sux".
Due tell, send me a PM, I must have missed a huge event in Rangers history or something....
rags doesnt bother me either... i just dont say it cuz some folk get defensive about it. i suspect it has been made into a derogatory term by other teams fans. ordinarily we would never hear that, but with the web-nets there's way more interaction with other teams fans. and we see how they talk about 'us'. anyhow, it's no big deal to me.

It would be like an Islander fan calling his own team the "Piles or Fishsticks" or Devils fan calling his own team the "Debbies".

i think people like libertys and me - pre-internet fans - just didn't grow up hearing what other fans called the rangers. so we never developed a sensitivity to it. and i know 'rags' sounds bad in a certain context, but it also can just be an abbreviation. 'sux' is a little more obviously negative. i personally take no issue with 'rags' if it's not meant to be derogatory.
i sometimes think there's too much concern over hank's rest. i bet he'd be fine playing all three. if i were torts, i'd just ride hank, then maybe let biron get two or three games in a row. biron seems better that way and hank might enjoy a solid week off.

This....growing up in north jersey, (this was pre devils, of course, they were still the Arrows, then Rockies), there was no other team. If you liked hockey, you liked the Rangers. I never heard what other fans called us, and my term for the Islander was "suck". Fishsticks is WAY after my time, when they switched jerseys, so I don't really say that either. I do remember calling the Devil's "Christmas Elves" when they first showed up in the league, mostly small players wearing green and red.
Anyway, I remember now why I don't post here a ton, sorry if I offended anyone.
I live in central jersey and everyone that I know who says "rags" (usually they spell it "rag$" if they're talking about a game on facebook/twitter) is always a PHI/NJ/NYI fan.
Has Biron been confirmed in net for tonight or is it just speculation? The sheltering of Hank's minutes is getting kind of ridiculous, he's not some 37 year old Tim Thomas. He will at this pace play 60 games this season, Biron 22.
But, I guess we can afford to rest him alot considering our place in the standings.
edit: Ah, finally saw the Brooks comment about Biron playing. Kind of hoped to see Hank play tonight.

Don't worry about it. It's a bunch of nonsense for my 2 cents worth. Rags never bothered me but blue****s gets me all riled up.
Anyway No Cally, No Hank and no excuse. Should get 2 here.

He is playing at a Vezina caliber level because of the rest. We are 9pts in front of the B's for 1st in the conference. Let him rest against the easier teams now. Because come may there will be no rest.
