Good to see their flight is pretty much over considering how it started.

There were some strong winds in Detroit tonight and the plane was shaking more than usual.

So, nothing serious actually.

To whoever making tonight's GDT, Steve Downie will miss the game so don't put him in the Avs lineup.

Honestly the way the team has been playing, its hard to muster the effort needed to keep producing masterpiece after masterpiece.

I've got what I think is a golden idea for tuesday, and I tried to motivate myself to get some of it done today, but I just couldnt.

So, working on tomorrows GDT... any idea what I should put for the Wild and Av's lines? Same as what was posted for last game?

so anyone correct me if im wrong, but if both lats(resigned) and butch come back fully healthy next season, and we re-sign harding to a 1mil+ contract, we dont really have the money to throw at both Parise and Suter do we? unless they took a decent discount to both be here, but i cannot see that happening.

if true that would mean one of Backstrom/Harding/Cullen/Bouchard/latendresse would have to go, so being realistic, who would more than likely be traded?

obviously this is a big stretch but hey, maybe this time the wild catches some big fish and gets a break.

Well, you'd need to replace Falk with Foster since he didn't make the trip to Colorado.

Beside that, I expect the same lineup but I assume Harding will get the start.

Not true.

If we re-sign Lats and Butch, we have trouble fitting all our players in, but we still could sign both Parise and Suter @ $8MM. Basically, if they both come back Granlund doesn't fit on the NHL club and the salary would offset. I posted the relevant capgeek info in the "rebuild" thread.

Something is wrong with this organization; I really can't put my finger on it but it seems like the Minnesota Wild is where good players go to die. Like an elephant graveyard.

Once players move on, they generally do a little better.

But once they move in, they suck hard. I think the only exception was Rolston.

Ugh.

I don't know what it is about Minnesota but it doesn't seem like we can acquire high end talent.

We have a curse on all of our pro sports teams and sometimes we do well against that curse, like when Farve took us all the way to the NFC championship game, or the Twins kept making it into the playoffs.

But we cant get past that curse, and sometimes the curse pushes back and suffocates us. Like last years Twins, the latest version of the Vikings, and this years historically monumental Wild collapse.

Elephant graveyard? What is this, Lion King?

I can think of a few players we've traded recently who aren't doing too hot on their teams.

Zidlicky's doing equally bad or worse - only time will tell if his poor play will continue.

Then there's Havlat...
