That would be an interesting way to work him into the line-up - Noel has said he doesn't like managing the lines that way, but it did work well when Flood was initially re-inserted into the line-up as the 7th D.

I agree. If the choice was between getting Clitsome some minutes as the #7 so that he could start the next game, or having mittens in the lineup for 5 or 6 minutes, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to go 7 D tonight.

I'm with you... From what I've seen of Noel, I don't think he would rush Clitty into the line up anyways. He takes his time easing players into the line up. He'll want to see him get some solid practice time before he dresses him.

Way back when, when tickets were first going on sale I was saying, "man I'd even take a Florida game in the middle of February! It's the NHL man!" And I'm not going (sob). But I am going to the Caps game in two weeks, so hopefully that will be a meaningful game as well. Fingers crossed........ .

The GDT is wonderful. I wish sound effects were a possibility. I would have loved to hear Ladd giggling. I'm going to have a knot in my stomach until the puck drops.

Go Jets Go

FLA has been hot lately but so are the Jets. Much as 1st in the Div is unlikely, it would still be nice to be within 2 pts.

It's more likely that we are fighting for 8th with the Caps. I would soooo not want to finish 9th, be out of the playoffs, and drafting 14th or whatever. TBH, I wasn't expecting the playoffs this season so making it would be huge for our development and maturity but at 8th place it would likely be a 1st round exit.

The big intangible is that the Jets are God's team. That no fan has been struck by lightning going to a game and that no earthquakes have devasted Winnipeg is irrefutable proof of that. I'm looking for a miracle and 1st in the Div even if it's a longshot. Let the Panther's long slide into hockey oblivion start today.

We have Wheeler, Pavs, and Bogo. The Panthers don't. 'Nuff said.

Just another fair warning - cool it with the Clitsome nicknames. According to his Twitter, his nickname is Clitty. You can call him that or Grant or Clitsome or something else family friendly, but cool it on the more vulgar and offensive names.

Just call him Grant.

That's my first name and I'm pretty much awesome so I see no reason to change that course for others who share the same monicker.

i was thinking about this today as i was studying for my midterms and i am not sure if the sentiment is shared but i rather like having winnipeg in the SE division. Assuming the CBA does not pass the realignment for next season i am rather looking forward to playing each other again 6 times next season.

I will be sad if a true rivalry is born between your team and mine or others in the SE only to see the team once or twice a year with the new realignment.

Anways cheers goodluck tonight and the rest of the way.

A lot of Winnipeg fans would prefer to stay in the South East as well. Being in a "conference" with Detroit, Chicago, St Louis and other decent teams sounds a lot harder than staying where we are. Easy for me to say as I'm not the one living with the travel schedule.

Great GDT as always YWG. We need a win here, time to improve on my terrible in-person record tonight! Antropov needs two more points and he becomes the leading scorer for me in person as well so...2-0 Jets, Antropov with a goal and a sick feed to Burmistrov. Sounds good to me.

The OP loves his Adobe projects. I could do this sort of thing (graphic design background and film student), but would never have the energy to pull it off for GDTs. I am just happy that I get projects done for school and for people on Freelance stuff. No freebies... money or marks! But big props for getting you guys going! Definitely makes GDT fun to see. Most are hacks at it. This guy puts a lot of work in. Just so you know, this stuff takes time, so do appreciate it... more than you guys already! NOW PAY THE MAN!

On a more serious note, I hope we beat this Cats team. I don't like them. Not since the Beezer days anyway. And even then I was bitter when they took my Pens out in the 1996 Stanley Cup playoffs!

LET'S GO JETS! I mean... GO JETS GO! Hopefully losing to the Oil lit a fire under their a _ _ _ _ and as long as nobody on the team takes any bad penalties, we should win this game with our 7th man.

Anyway, I got this delivered today and I'm cheering on the team from Edmonton, AB. Wished I was in Winnipeg though...

Thanks, great GDT as usual.

You have to wonder if any of the players have ever made their way to this forum. (it'd be cool if they saw this) Although it's probably better they don't see some of the stuff on here.
