How about last year Islanders vs Penguins? When I saw it, my blood boiled like crazy and thought "I missed that NHL!". Trevor Gillies is my hero.

without question, the NHL needs more of those

has there been one brawl this season? I remember where you would see at least one a month during the season.

the pussification of the NHL is terrible

What was that 70s one, I think habs vs bruins, that had guys going up about a dozen rows in the stands to fight fans?

It was Milbury. A guy threw his shoe at him so Mad Mike grabbed the shoe and beat the guy with it. I hate the bruins but that was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I think it was the Bruins vs Rangers though, not sure

Wish there was video of when the Blues went into the stands in Philadelphia after a Flyers fan threw beer on Al Arbour.

lol at McCarty getting 4 mins for roughing in the '97 brawl.

Compare that to all the fuss made over the Isles-Penguins last year...

The Wings/Avs rivalry would have gone no where in today's NHL.

If you didn't answer with this, you have answered incorrectly. It's the brawl of all brawls.

Getting beaten up by a guy 4 inches shorter and 50 pounds lighter = loss

There have been a couple minor brawls this year, but the nastiness isn't the same as these videos. You'll usually have like 2 guys from each team pissed and throwing punches, the rest of the guys stand around and are too scared to fight (see last night Ducks-Sabres), whether it be b/c of threat of injury, suspension, whatever. The only really nasty brawl this year was Bruins-Canucks, there may have been a few more, such as the 1st meeting of Rangers-Flyers, but the refs broke everything up immediately and gave out misconducts like candy on halloween.

Last year, however, was actually a good year for brawls. Three goalie fights in a week is about as good as it gets. It seems though that whenever there are rule changes, it takes a while for the intensity to pick back up. The season after the lockout was a perfect example. In a year or two I'm sure we'll be right back to where we were last year, when brawls, although not as common as the 70s obviously, still happen every so often.

The funniest part the camera cuts to the crowd at one point and there's a traumatized lady who starts crying

The clip of the girl crying is icing on the cake.

This is the one reason why I find the Avs-Wings brawl to be not as good. When a game only has 12 players left (6 per team) it has to be an amazing brawl filled game. The Avs-Wings did have all the big names fight, but they didn't lose almost all of their players. It was one brawl and they moved on. This Sens-Flyers lost 15 players on each team I think, and was the best brawl game, even if none of the individual brawls were as good.

I enjoyed it quite well even though my team stunk in that game.

Pretty sure it was that stiff left that Vernon buckled his knees with. It was a close fight but Roy having that size advantage, bleeding all over and Vernon getting the takedown= a win.

Man theres nothing I love better then watching Claude getting kneed in the face by Dmac. The hit he threw on Draper is one thing, but the **** he said in the press about how Draper should be thankful because noone would know who he is if he didnt hit him like that is bushleague.

He earned that beating
