I don't expect a win. Be nice, but I wont be hurt if we lose this one.

I wager the Sedin's spank us tonight.
Wouldn't go that far, but it is one of those situations where if we had finished the road trip 4-1-1 or 4-2-0 it would be considered a decent return. Since we've managed to win the first 4, we don't want to end the trip with a couple of losses.

I'm relaxed about tonight, if we lose I wouldn't be too disheartened. Ideal result for me would be a 3-2 win in OT. I'd rather avoid ending up as first seed, second seed is fine

Nice GDT!

As a Vancouver fan it will be interesting to see the new players Påhlsson and Kassian for the first time after training with the team. Besides that, a battle for first overall can't be missed - I'll watch even if its early in the morning. To bad that Steen is out, I haven't watched him in a while.

Well, I'm taking off work tomorrow for my birthday so I'm okay with a 9:00 start time. My hopes aren't too high for this game. The team just played last night and they're going to need a full 60 minute effort against Vancouver just to have a shot. At least they've been able to rack up the points on this road trip without giving their best game. Maybe they were just saving it for tonight...

I think the Blues are jacked for this one, they have something to prove, if they have anything left in the tank on this road trip, we'll see it tonight. I hate predictions, but the Blues can win tonight, definitely.

They got first in our building last time, hopefully we get it this time in Vancouver. I miss Steen

I'm feeling giddy just to have a game of this importance this late in the season.

I'm going out on a limb and say my boys come through with big goals each. Captain America and Chris Stewart lead the way tonight. 3-1 Blues win

I love these late games. Gives me an excuse to not do homework or anything productive. I just stay up late, eat, and watch the Blues.

Blues shut them down with some heroics from Elliott.

Great GDT. It's also great to have a game where there's actually something significant on the line. Hopefully the Canucks manage to score some goals against that wall you have in net. Actually, I guess it wouldn't make a difference if it was Halak. You guys have a great tandem in between the pipes there in St. Louis. Too bad the Blues traded Ben Bishop because you would have likely had the AHL goalie of the year in your system too.

Anyway, good luck in this game!

I would say the same but it would be disingenuous I wish you luck after this game though.

I can't pretend to like the Canucks but they seem to have some very classy fans

I remember some really, really bad trolls in 2009.

I appreciate the civility at the moment though.

The Blues have the 5th best goal differential in the entire league...

Blues have the 12th best PK. While that doesn't wow anybody, the PK pre-Hitch was something awful like 76.9 %

To get from that point to the point that is the 12th best in the league is impressive. I'd be curious to see where the PK numbers would rank taking out the first two weeks of the season under Payne.

You know, it's sad but it's actually been easier for Canucks fans, at least for me anyways, to be civil with other fans. Between our own fans is where most of the bickering takes place, again, at least for me that is.

Wicked GDT. Best of luck tonight, guys. Any word on your starting lineup?

And while Steen is out, you guys still have Oshie - 13 points in 13 games against Vancouver.

I would imagine the lineup looks something like this:

McDonald-Backes-Oshie
Perron-Berglund-Stewart
Sobotka-Arnott-Porter
Crombeen-Nichol-Reaves

Colaiacovo-Pietrangelo
Jackman-Shattenkirk
Cole-Polak

Elliott
Halak

Hitchcock said yesterday he plans on using both Cole and Hensick in these last two games of the road trip. With today being the second of a back to back, I'd bet Cole plays and Huskins sits.

Nice, I didnt know that about Oshie. About the lineup, I havent seen an official one yet but Elliott is starting for sure, and Hitch said Hensick and Cole would each play once on this road trip but neither one has played yet and only 2 games left including tonights so one of them might sneak in.

Over a full season it would be 85.5% under Hitch (141/166). That would rank them 7th and behind only LA and Vancouver in the West. Eight straight games without allowing a PP goal. 22 straight kills. Only PP goal in the last ten games is that last second freak goal at Columbus with 0.1 remaining in the first period.

Against Vancouver in three games each team has had 9 PPs. Vancouver has 2 PP goals, Blues have none.

I think we'll see Hensick tonight as opposed to Saturday against the Sharks.

Let's get a win tonight. I'm not too concerned about 1st in the west but I want to see this team get 1st in the Central for sure.

Do you know where Hensick will slot in? I know he's having a great year in the AHL but I have no clue if he has the capacity to be a good offensive player in the NHL. Isn't he something like 2nd in the AHL in assists behind Keith Aucoin?
