I can not believe what I am watching in the blues wings game. Let's just hope the Blues can win in ot/so so we will still own the tiebreaker.

Still in 5th, one point back, and the tiebreak is still in our favor if we things end in a tie. The rollercoaster continues.

Not quite. We need to take care of business and get a little help. The Wings win out, and they take 4th. Their tough game is also their home finale. If we win out, we finish ahead of the Hawks. Any losses make things interesting.

Very tough game for the Preds tomorrow too. They play the Stars who I call the Preds achilles' heels because they are a lower ranking team but seem to beat the Preds badly when they play them. The Preds have lost to them badly twice and only barely won one game against them by one goal the last time we played them. So this game is by no means an easy game for the Preds. The Preds need to come out w/ their A game tomorrow otherwise it won't be a pretty game. Not to mention, the Stars have to win their game tomorrow if they want a shot at making the playoffs. Otherwise, they won't make the playoffs. They currently are just one spot from the playoff cut off line. So they will be playing a very desperate game tomorrow.

So imo both the Wings and Preds have tough games coming up.

After watching the Blues Wings game they are both playing a different brand of hockey. I don't like our chances against the Wings, especially when we have to start on the road. We can bring in all the talent we want and as many trade deadline players, but if we don't have team leadership to lead from the front and play like they care.

It's sad when your goalie, a MIL call-up, and a guy whose only played 6 NHL games in 5 years are the only ones giving it their all right now. Let's hope they flip the freaking switch.

if we have home ice... heck no

if they have home ice... heck yeah

whoever has home ice, will win the series.. detroits home versus road record is quite the opposites

**** yes I am and you should be too. If we don't get home ice against them, I don't see us getting passed 6 games with them. Never. Ever. Doubt Detroit. History is on their side not ours. They just find ways to win that we could only dream of.

I hate detroit. I really ****ing hate detroit, but I grudgingly admit they are a great team. If we give them home ice and have to start on the road, I do not like my chances.

Detroit looked solid with the comeback win last night, but, this is the same team that is 2-2 in in their last four games with regulation losses to the Jackets and us followed by shootout wins over the Panthers and Blues. They're 5-3-0 at home throughout March and April, 5-4-1 at home if we include that last week in February. There is no denying that they are a good team, but they are beatable.

It's important to note and remember that this isn't the first time Detroit limped down the stretch, only to find another gear in the playoffs. Their experience matched against our inexperience is a big advantage in their corner. Especially when you also consider that Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Howard, Franzen and Bertuzzi are all playing their way up from about 60-75 percent capacity.

I can only conclude that the Blues either think they will get a better matchup as the 2 than the 1, or they fear us so much they want to make sure we have the lower seed hoping we get knocked out before we have to face them

When they were healthy, they were still inconsistent and very beatable on the road. No matter what, this first round series is going to be tough.
