Still have an outside shot at the division. St. Louis has played three more games and we have one more head to head match up. IF when win those it's a 1 point differential.

Well, we got 3 out of 4, so that's not bad.
St. Louis has one of their tougher remaining weeks this week:
@TBL
@ANA
@LAK
@PHX
NSH
Normally, you'd mark down TBL as a win, but it's on the road and TBL is playing better of late. While I certainly don't think they will, it's not completely unthinkable they could go 0-5. Not likely to be sure, but with any luck they'll lose at least three.
Detroit has an easier week, but games @SJS and at @NYR could certainly be losses. With any luck, they'll stumble against one of the "trap" games too (WSH, CAR, CBJ).
We just need to start a win streak again on Saturday.
Five of these teams are seperated by a single point. Calgary is 2 behind after two losses to the Oilers and Jackets.
What do you think will happen? I personally believe the Avalanche will make the playoffs because the pacific teams all play eachother to end the year and something has to give, unless a ridiculous amount of those games end up being 3 point games. I see the final standings shaping out like this
3. San Jose
7. Colorado
8. Dallas
9. Pheonix
10. LA
11. Calgary
The question becomes, do the wings stay in 5th or does the helm injury cause a dramatic drop in there playoff positing? ... No doubt in my mind that the wings will get the pacific winner and we get the hawks ... If things continue to play out the way I think they will
I think I'd take the Coyotes and the Avs and maybe the Flames. Looks like the Sharks and Kings are positioned to take each other out of it, and the Stars also have 7 out of 10 left from among the group.
