I was more impressed with the fact he was on the ice at that point in the game. Huge defensive face-off and Sutter shows faith in him, good to see.

Yes nice win. I watched the last 3 games intently and had this game on but was playing NHL 12 the whole time until 5 min left in the 3rd. They always win whenever I'm playing NHL 12 for some reason. I will take one for the team and continue this until we are clearly out of a playoff spot.

Yes! Love the way Staj has played as of late. Hopefully Iggy sees that when he backchecks, hits and battles hard, his team follows suit.

Stajan would have more points on the season if Sutter didn't treat him like an ugly redheaded stepchild. He's a decent 3rd line center.

Big two points tonight. Time to slay the dragon in Anaheim.

True. But he has been getting more opportunities, big faceoffs, PP, I think the main reason for keeping him on the 4th is Sutter like having a 4th that can dominate the other teams 4th, plus Staj and Jackman seem to gel and seem like buddies

Stajan deserves more ice-time.

Nice to see him getting some credit.

He has really been under utilized by Brent in the past, and I hope he can continue to climb the depth chart here and have a productive finish to the season in hopes of reestablishing himself as a solid NHL contributor by next season.

In terms of ability he's deserved to be on the 3rd line instead of the 4th for most of the season, but one of Feaster's big things was the youth movement. I think that was a factor in Horak being treated to higher TOI for a significant chunk of the year.

I gotta say I have never seen such a potent PK system out of any team. You guys are so agressive at the points that I am assuming most teams like the Yotes' tonight have a hard time handling.

Good luck the rest of the way, fellas.

Our PK has been great lately, they used to be tentative and soft, but the last while they've been very aggressive, which is great, hopefully they keep it up.

For once in a long time we didn't get outshot! If it wasn't for kipper we would even be talking playoffs right now we'd be talking lottery pick but Im sure everyone on here knows that. Anyway now 2 points back with same amount of games played but I still feel its possible

Depends a lot on who's healthy at the time. Glencross and Kostopoulos are both great with the aggression (looks like Comeau may be as well). Tanguay can be, off-and-on.

The only PP the Flames can't really handle when healthy is one like the Ducks (when they're not playing like ass); passes are just way too quick and sharp.

Good win.
Nice work by Jax stepping to the plate vs Biz. Think that kind of slowed Phx momentum.
Keep it going boys.

I disagree. We have quite the resiliency. Too bad we like to come back in games. Our 1st periods need to improve. Good game.

I agree with the assessments of Stajan, he would make a pretty ideal 3rd line center right now.

I was in attendance at tonight's game. My throat is freaking sore from all the cheering, then screaming, then cheering again. But it was worth it for the two points. Lots of Flames fans attended the game

Thanks. Pleasant surprise, since usually the only Oil fans come in here to troll.

Very classy of Stajan on the empty net. The guy played well last night and I like the fact Sutter gave him some special teams ice time as the game went on.

Very impressed with our top unit. Iginla and Cammy especially were in battle mode last night. This was the first game where I have truely been impressed with Cammy. We need him to play like that every game if we want to make it to the dance.

Flames will have to pull a horse shoe wrapped in a 4 leaf clover out of their ass if they want 2 points tonight.

Will be interesting to see if Irving is definitly in for the start.

Totally off topic: WOW!! Baertschi is killing juniors this year. Haven't seen numbers like that in a while.

This is probably the dumbest thing I've read here in a while (however I do have that MJW22 guy on ignore)

You realize that starting to tank now (which is moronic) would improve the Flames' draft position by maybe one or two spots?

Great win but the goal for the rest of the season doesn't change.

So far I think we have a great plan for success:

-Great PK
-Allow 1 less goal than you score in the first
-If you don't score in the first, then you're boned.

Sadly I couldn't find a like button. Couldn't agree more.

Disagree. We're due for a win in Anaheim, might as well be tonight.
