I hate when you think you have an overpowering word in WWFs, but you can't see if it counts yet.

Is Words with Friends like scrabble?

How do you play it? Facebook, Phone? Some other ****? I may need to try this out

Mrs. K and "play" Scrabble a lot, I put play in quotes there b/c she's beaten me about 5 times in the last 5 years. Though she's gone very mid 90's Devils on me.....

Last week I had "OPERATE" landing on a Triple Word Score, eighty some odd points - but instead, she throws down "DIE", the E being a blank - she wasted a blank on a ****ing E, the most popular letter int he game...on the same triple word score, for all of 10 point (built off an adjoining B).

I play on my phone, not sure if it's on the web.

As for your story, I would see red. Scrabble is taken very seriously in my family, and such a farcical word would cause a lot of suffering.

Oh please, John's is one of the best in midtown, there's **** in midtown. Hell there's **** in Manhattan period for pizza. Want good pizza? Go to Brooklyn or do yourself a favor and come over to Jersey

When I used to work north of times square, I actually went to two places for slices, Johns you cant do that:

Famiglia - tourist trap and a half but they made a mean Hawaiian and...

There's a place up on 49th and 7th I used to go to all the time, don't even know the name, just remember the sign with the pic of the guy who seemed to never have a day off "Willie The Pizza King", slices weren't half bad and you couldn't beat the price, and they had beer.

Fair enough. I only go there for breakfast now for the bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit and that's twice a year, tops

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm leaving tomorrow for NJ with my pops - we're staying in the Newark Hilton right near the Rock.

Also while I'm doing the whole suggestion thing... What's a good place to watch Saturday night's game vs. the Isles? Last time we were there, we went to the Brick City Bar & Grill (and saw the Rangers beat the Flyers in the shootout to make the playoffs). Is that the place to go for Devils fans or is there a better place?

alright i need some help. i've had a blackberry for about a year and a half and an ipod for about 3 years. i still have a ****ing 8gb nano, and it needs to be replaced somewhat soon. should i make the switch to iphone now, or is there a new version coming out somewhat soon? i could always just buy a new ipod too. ahh idk i'm lost. how is the iphone's battery and do most people use their phone as their ipod or do they usually just have a separate ipod with all of their music on it?

Go into Hoboken, quick trip on the PATH from Newark Penn. There's a few bars on 1st street just west of Washington that will have the game on I'm sure , Mulligan's or The Village Pourhouse

fast food is awful if you haven't eaten it in a while. mcdonald's is cheap and a block from my school, so i eat it a lot, but i didn't eat fast food at all during winter break and the next time i ate it i felt like i was going to die. i really don't want to think about what it does to my body. i'm decently healthy so that's good enough.

in other news, i get to sleep for a while tonight. i need it too, i get a nice, relaxing weekend before the hell that is the week before spring break.

The only fast food I eat semi-regularly is Taco Bell. Unless Moe's counts.

you sound exactly like my sister (who is also vegetarian so i guess that makes sense). i tend to think of moes as fast food but it is a bit better quality than most fast food. still mediocre compared to a real restaurant, which is mediocre compared to authentic texmex.

Going to AC in the morning. Going to head to the A10 tourney semi-finals, drink a ton, gamble, and then drink a **** ton more when gambling doesn't work out. See ya Sunday, TaN. I expect to be quite hungover for the Red Bulls game (on TV) and then the Devils game (at the Rock if I'm not dead)

Definitely a solid pizza place. Had it once a couple of months ago and greatly enjoyed it.

I have an iPhone 3GS. I enjoy it. Use it as my primary iPod. I had an old one (from before my phone) that I more or less stopped using at that point. My phone is only 16 GB, so eventually I filled it up and had other things I wanted on there, yet not enough space. I was using my old iPod again (30 GB) for the additional stuff and use it in my car or the gym or something. I eventually broke that iPod, which was probably about 8 years old anyway, so now I'm just back to my phone again. Too expensive to buy another iPod, as the phone is more than capable. I'll learn to deal with not having every single song I know of on there.

Battery is fine for me. I'm around a charger enough (at home, in my car) that I rarely have to go too long without being able to charge if its low. But I can have one charge last me anywhere from 12 to 30 hours depending on my usage. I use the thing a ton, seemingly non-stop even, so I probably get far worse usage than your average person. That and I'm using a phone that's over 2.5 years old. Mine doesn't necessarily have the battery technology of the new ones, and I'm sure its worn down with some age as well.

I do enjoy the phone. Been eligible for an upgrade since last Fall, but have been unsure what I want to do. If the past is any indication, there will likely be a new iPhone in the summer or early fall. I plan to wait until we know the specs of the next iPhone and will then decide if I stay with Apple or go to a droid. In all likelihood, you can't go wrong with either.

Was out golf shopping tonight...Think I'm going to upgrade my irons this year as well as my driver. I've had my irons since my junior year of High school golf...Really like the look of the new Callaways. Also, I'm really diggin the new all white (white head/shaft/grip) cobra driver (ZL). I might pick that up as well if I like the feel. Going to demo things this week.

i'm not nearly good enough at golf to warrant buying new clubs. i have a red neck driver, a set of old, old, old callaway 3 and 5 woods, and a set of callaway clubs i bought used about 4 years ago. the most expensive club i have is a golden bear sand wedge. that was a smart investment.
